This is the first time an anime makes me want to read the manga just so I don't have to wait until the next part is animated. Like, what was this ending? I can't just sit here and be like "okay, everyone is fucked and Yuji is going to die, I'll patiently wait for the next season" of course not!

Idle transfiguration can touch the soul and manipulate the body of anyone whom he touches. Tengen is basically connected to the people in Japan. Therefore "Geto" Transfigurated/activated 1000+ people remotely using Tengen who is connected to everyone.
