Greetings. 

I want to ask you, friends, do we need a squad of  Desert Hawks, similar to the rider from the picture? Why am I asking -  these handsome guys no longer play on the table (legendary unit), they are not in the  codex or in the supplements, and their only value is exclusively collectible (well, maybe someone will need them for narrative games). So I ask you to vote. 

About the Janissaries with separate parts. Those will be in the command squad, which will appear in the near future. For those  who own the blender3d, I can offer to PM me and I will send you a link to the editable blender file, which you can change as you please.

Could do with vehicles! But riders are a bit out dated aren't they?

So imma say no purely as they have no value in game whereas vehicles do.

I don't use your models for 40k. I use them for grimdark future which still has riders

Yes, they are now in the legendary units section, so they are not completely valid.

I would ask if you make these units to give them weapon options so they can run a Genestealer Cult Jackals. Love your work.

GW has rules for Rough Riders in their Warhammer Legends free PDF. Also, it seems like GW will be creating an all-plastic Death Korp of Krieg line of miniatures which will include their signature Death Riders cavalry unit. So I think that we will soon see cavalry return to the Astra Militarum.

Ehhh this is a difficult question. On the one hand there's another group of guard that use horses which these would represent very well. On the other you could give them bikes which could be used to represent some more...xenos-minded desert hawks. Or you could forgo both and do something else entirely. Unfortunately I can't really answer this question as I'm neither for nor against it, however I do like bikes/quads a bit more over horses and feel they fit your designs a bit more. Either way more Red Pilgrim models is always a great thing so I look forward to whatever you decide to do next

Yes to riders and mounts, but no to horses or variants of. Something like the old Gorkamorka Mutie Steeds would be appropriate for a hot, sandy wasteland...

If you make the people separate files from the horses, then they could be converted to ride bikes instead. Best of both worlds.

Looks like in grimdark future you can add weapons specialists to the squad as well. Flamethrower Fusion rifle Grenade launcher Plasma rifle Shred rifle (probably heavy bolter) All of these would look pretty cool on horse back

They were one of my favorite units back in the day. I converted mine to be riding lizards…seemed more alone dessert world to me

I've been playing a lot of 3rd edition with local players who want to get back to earlier editions they grew up with and the Tallarn rough riders are a big part of that history. It would also work well with the Grimdark Future rulesets too! Also seconding wanting to see bikes in the future.

Rough Riders are great but I think horses are the most boring option. Would rather see big riding lizards or something. It is sci-fi after all, you can get a little weird

ForgeWorld Tallarn Mukaali Rough Riders are much better. Also, One Page Rules Grimdark Future as rules for the Rough Riders in the Human Faction army books.

Mech enhanced horses and/or bikes. Or horses. If it's an animal other than horses I'm not dead keen on bipedal mounts. I'll love em whatever you do to be fair.

Not playing, but mounted riders are nice miniatures on their own, provided the horses are not to static and provide a variety. Since you usually do posed miniatures, thats why I voted yes

When making riders for horses and bikes, if possible could it be done with torsos separate so they could be switched out for other regiments? If it’s too tied into the motion of the pose and strapping etc becomes problematic I totally understand. Just thinking for future tinkering

I agree on variety but I’m itching to see red pilgrim get horses looking as good as the artwork. Everyone who’s made stl files for horses haven’t really captured the poses particularly well. I reckon this may be our chance. Alien steeds or augmented one’s are often the go to choice because everyone knows what a horse looks like and they struggle so just decide to say fuck it, it looks weird because “alien”. That’s why most game art graduates make aliens :)

A larger range of troops and heavy weapons teams would be better. More poses, special weapons, hq etc
