Hello everyone!I have some news for you. Unfortunately, not very good.Yesterday I received a letter from a big well-known company with the letters "W" and "G" in its name. Its content boils down to warnings, threats and a list of actions I am obliged to carry out. Their main argument is our kindly correspondence via PM. So thank you, unknown kind soul, for reporting this to the right place. And a separate "thank you" to those who immediately after the release rushed to share it in Telegram channels. At the moment the situation is as follows: we have been given an ultimatum until December 19th. Its terms are obviously impossible. Of course, I deleted all the Gifts, but I don’t think that’s gonna solve the problem. The prospects are unclear, but it is obvious that the're not the best. However, I won't make any guesses yet.So, in case my page on Patreon is blocked, I will outline the main points in advance:1. Once again, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of you for supporting me over the years. For your subscriptions and kind words. It was really very cool and I want to say THANK YOU! You are the best! :)2. Whatever happens, the December releases will be done and will be available at this LINK. Be sure to save it and by the end of the month just take out 2-3 of the regular monthly releases from there. If I still have the opportunity, I'll announce them here as usual.3. If the strike still takes place, then I will be in touch on Discord, Facebook, Instagram, and I also respond fairly quickly via PM on MMF and Cults3D sites. I will try to switch to Tribes (or to Kickstarter, or to Boosty), I don't know. Now it's hard to say what will happen tomorrow, but I believe in the best :)))That's all for now. Anyway, the first December release is coming out this Sunday.Good luck and thank you all!

Wish you all the best man! Boosty is the choice I think!?

Mortcog

While I love the gifts, if the solution is no more gifts, I'll still be here.

Oliver Navarrete

Noooo! No matter where you go, I will follow you!! your work is impressive!! Please keep sharing any news!

Spurius_Ligustinus

Shameful behaviour in both cases... Some people in the 3d printing community are really scum, your Patreon is already top quality for a low price and they won't even pay for it... Have you considered telling big corpo to get lost ? Gamza did it when he got his letter and nothing happened after that because they are so cheap that they don't actually want to pay for all these court expenses and they prefer using their legal team to bully and harass people. Whatever you do, I'll still support you as long as I can do it via PayPal

Vittorio Marzari

"W" and "G"... a cancer, my dream their failure!

Jim Bim

If you'd be interested in different subscriptionplatforms I have a couple in mind that are... slower on the enforcement side. Also, I'm not here for the gifts, so if they're gone Im not going anywhere

Daniel Smith

Knowing people that have had similar. You only need to ‘acknowledge’ the email you don’t have to do any action. Remember they would have to see court action against you. It’s been banded around that any information used to highlight your indiscretions are being supplied to the said company by a subcontracted 3rd party who are conducting the reverse image searches and social media data scrapes. Be careful not to overreact to a ‘heavy handed’ letter.

MageInTraining

Hang tight, I really like your work and hope you can keep ať it with the undiminished passion. Also, if James W. is being such an ass, why not start exploring other themes as well? That Infinity piece was quite fresh.

Capt.Frick

This is sad to hear, especially since I was here more for the regular content than the gifts. Will this affect the libary at MMF?

Russell Nightingale

In agreement with other comments, the monthly release content is absolutely worth the price of admission - the free gifts are very nice but their absence is not a deal breaker

Joao Claudio

Love your stuff man, if you have to take a break from the gifts or change the type of gifts "pano" cough cough, we will still be here.

C

Whoever snitched, fuck you

Chris H

Will still sub to you, wherever you end up - love your work

Trench Printer

Man I'm sorry to hear that, one of the reasons I stayed subbed is because I noticed all the models are available via the drive link so I felt dishonest if it was to pop in for a month and dipped but that really sucks that others abused that to both their own interests and to shill for GW. All that said, I'm sorry to hear this and hope your patreon is still safe and if not I hope to still follow you as I love your sculpts so much that i just finished painting a few for some 15mm wargaming. I hope to try and download the content in time and to see your work still continuing. ❤️🥺

Ivan Varela

This is why we can't have nice things. It sucks, but if you have to pivot to less "grimdark" inspired miniatures to keep the patreon page, I'm sure most of us will still be interested.

Alexander

So the inquisition has found you. We knew this could happen. But their complaints only relate to the gifts right, your desert warriors are legally ok and safe right? Or do they demand you shut down altogether?

MuGGzy

what kind of A$$hole pays for a Patreon, just to snitch on it? If they can read this, eat a dick.

Craig Arden

Really sorry to hear that news. Your fans will continue to support your work wherever you decide to go next.

Plock_Bluewingedhorse

I usually avoid tribes because I like to have everything on one platform. But here I make an exception out of principle. You have my support. I just need to know where and when.

redpilgrim

Hopefully the evil boss will calm down after removing them and get off my back.

Scavvon

You do great work. I want to see it continue.

redpilgrim

I made a page on Boosty a year ago to stake my name, but haven't posted anything there yet.

redpilgrim

It's easier for platforms (like Patreon) to block an account than to have problems with GW's legal department. They won't go into the intricacies of intellectual property.

Chris

Well these are clearly only compatible with the one page rules grimdark game and in no way resembles another manufacturer of similar games. But seriously, They certainly have some clear differences and are not replicas or copies of models. If the issue is with the distribution of the files. You can use other distribution platforms (not cults, MMF etc) that do not heed to big companies and use patreon with them like the makers cult do with printedwargames.com Anyways hope it all goes well for you and don't stress to hard. I would hope they would not do this before Christmas but they are heartless.

SLYCER3D

Bastards, you are one of my favorite artists; wherever you go, I'll be there to support you!

redpilgrim

In theory, the library at MMF shouldn't be affected, there are no SM there.

redpilgrim

Thanks. If the worst outcome does happen and you suddenly don't have time to download anything (except Gifts, of course), just send me a PM on MMF and I'll add you to the list and you can use it as a storage space.

redpilgrim

Yes, their claims are only about the Gifts. I will not disclose the details of the letter as the spy is still among us) But to remove all gifs from the entire internet and provide information on the number of copies sold so they can calculate compensation for damages is ridiculous)

Alexander

Ok, so you can continue your desert warriors line and expand on that. Maybe develop a new line. They are not demanding a total shut down, so you can probably stay in business. That's good news.

James Dwyer

Hey, I know it’s tough right now with all the conflict and threats around. But remember, these things have a way of working themselves out in time. It’s really about finding a way to live alongside these challenges, you know? And hey, it’s not right that you, being so talented, have to deal with this. Just so you know, I’ve got your back, whatever path you take. Your gift is too strong to be held back. Keep pushing forward, you’re doing great.

morgan light

this is all not good news...are the files / links that are in MMF libraries for Patreons still going to work, or are those coming down too? let us know what is next...

redpilgrim

In theory, the library at MMF shouldn't be affected, there are no SM there.

Gregory Morris

No worries. If it seems like a pivot to a less dark but still somewhat grim future in the setting of the Human Sphere would be in order that won't hurt my feelings a bit! There's a lot out there to explore.

TheVulgarBrush

So sorry your getting the shitty end of the stick, I've only joined recently but hope I get to be here for more of your work when things calm down for you. All the best

Travis

But technically you have sold 0 copies because they were gifts right?

operator_11811

Such a bummer to hear this news. Happy to support you wherever you go next. Thanks for all the fantastic work.

Steven Remington

Surrogate Miniatures here on Patreon is going through the same thing but he done being pushed around and is talking to a legal team right now about retaliation options. Perhaps you should speak with him?

Johan Olsson

this is realy sad to hear , you are by far one of the best creators and i will support you were ever and in any way i ca, there are so many beeing targeted right now prehaps join forces with them ?

redpilgrim

Yep, I've already been suggested to contact Surrogate Miniatures for a consultation

redpilgrim

Well I have already received a lot of really good advice from not indifferent people, and I have formed an order of my further actions.

Locutus

That means W G fear of 3D printing.....

Niv Mizzet

Truly my favorite model maker. I hope we can continue supporting you in the future.

Jaime

people...

Roy

Well done muppet, well what ever happens I’ll follow on wherever that maybe, to be honest the gifts are not my thing anyway, so if it takes that to drop the grief then so be it. 👍😉 and whoever screwed it up on here 🖕🏻

Insaan Sol

I enjoy your creativity, and will continue to invest in your sculpts in the future. What ever you decide to do, I will continue to support your art work.

Flying Monkey Tiki

That really blows. Some people just don't know how to stay quite. But I'm here for your Oathbreaker sculpts anyway. The extras were nice but def not the reason I support ya!

Kirk Trofatter

Does this mean more stuff for desert hawks

Rod Genardini

Dude Games Workshop are pure fucking evil, I sculpt naga and centaur miniatures, and ocassionally elves. They are all generic and can't belong to another IP, yet they still VERO striked me anyway.

Mike Michaels

You are a fantastic sculptor and I truly hope you are able to continue doing what you do. I want to echo your sentiments to the people that couldn't keep their goddamn mouths shut.

Zack Unger

I just joined, Long time admirer. This news is heartbreaking. I follow many others sentiments that whatever happens, I'll follow you wherever you go. Your scuplts are great!
