On a more content-specific take, it aggravates how easy it would be to change their guardian's opinions if they just told them why it happened in the first place. Like, come on, am I the only person who knew that adults are not all superior, all-knowing beings when I was a kid? They're just grown-up kids who have more experience than you. Regardless of age, you can speak up and fight back when they unfairly treat you.
