Chapter 7- Gremory vs Phenex
Flashback (2 years ago)
The Hyuga clan was a prominent clan in the underworld. Although it wasn't part of the 72 pillars, it did have close ties to the Bael clan, which had been the most prominent clan since the death of Lucifer himself. That gave it a large amount of wealth and power within the underworld.
And she, Hanabi Hyuga, was the second Heiress of the clan, slated to be Heir should anything happen to her sister in the future.
She got into her stance, and on a silent signal, they both charged at one another.
Her opponent sent a palm strike out, which she blocked with the edge of her forearm.
She then sent a volley of swift strikes towards her opponent, but each one of them was narrowly dodged.
Her opponent sent a multitude of fast counterattacks, but she had anticipated this and dodged accordingly.
They each sent a strike at one another, and each time it was either blocked or parried. Because it only required a single glancing blow and it was all over. That was the power of the jūken style, or gentle fist.
She sent a palm strike outward , which was easily dodged by her opponent . Who sent a swift counter attack, she parried with her palm and tried to strike at the outstretched limb, but another strike came at her.
She quickly backed off to get a small amount of distance.
They each waited for an opening… until she saw one.
She sent a single palm strike out, but it had been grabbed with ease. And a pair of fingers struck her arm, and the entire limb fell limp.
A few swift jabs and a devastating kick that sent her flying away from her opponent. And the proctor who was overseeing the match had declared the victor. She had lost
Had she been less in touch with her emotions, she would have glared hatefully at her opponent… her sister.
But she was, so she would keep them to herself.

"Very good Hinata, fate has clearly blessed you with talent far beyond your years." Her father spoke.
They were on their knees in front of their father in his office.
Hinata had a sultry smirk, while Hanabi held her usual refined expression.
Her father was a man who appeared to be in his mid-thirties. He had long brown hair and pale eyes. He wore traditional loose fitting white robes and a long sleeved brown hoari.
If she were to describe him, she would say that she had inherited much of his qualities in appearance. But in terms of personality, he was cold and strict. Everything was 'for the clan' with him.
She had heard from eavesdropping on some of the branch members that he had been much kinder with her mother alive. She didn't know, her mother had passed away shortly after giving birth to herself. And all throughout her life, she could sometimes tell that her father hadn't forgiven her for it.
He turned to her, with an expression she couldn't quite place on his experience visage.
"Hanabi, you clearly are quite talented, having bested some of our young branch members." He complimented, " but it is quite evident that your require more sufficient training that will be befitting of a Hyuga of your stature. We are of the noble Hyuga clan, it wouldn't do good to sully our name with weakness such as yourself at your current skill level." He told her flatly,
And if she were being honest with herself, she had expected it.
All the while, Hinata had a smirk across her face.
XXX
The Hyuga clan main estate was of a Japanese style design, with paper walls and a slanted roof. The old estate having been destroyed sometime during the civil war. This new estate was built fairly recently, although it had still been before her time.
But the estate was separated in half.
The more luxurious half was for the main branch members, those who held prestige and talent they inherited within their clan.
And the second half was for the side branch members. Those who were destined to serve their main branch counterparts. To signify this, they were given the mark of a caged bird. The Caged Bird Seal was a Juinjutsuthat was forced on the branch memers from a young age. The official purpose of the seal was when a member died, their Byakugan would be sealed away, preventing its secrets from being learned by their enemies .
But the main purpose of the seal was far more cruel. When activated by a main branch member, it could cause the destruction of the brain cells within the sealed branch member's head. This discouraged any branch member from revolting, effectively making them slaves within their own clan.
Having just met with her father, all Hanabi wanted to do was head to her room and sleep.
Turning the corner, she was face to face with her sister.
Hinata Hyuga was a beautiful woman 5 years her senior. With her long blue hair running along her back and a few strands framing her face, along with a few shorter bangs in the front. She had lavender eyes courtesy of her Hyuga lineage.
She doned a loose fitting, lavender and cream hooded-jacket with lavender cuffs, that was open at the front. Which showed the fishnet crop top she wore that did nothing to hide her generous bust and toned stomach. She also wore a pair of small jean shorts that showed off her legs.
Her clothing along with her heavy makeup and red lipstick made her look like something of a slut. But with her fiery attitude you would be harshly told otherwise.
"Well if it isn't my dear little sister." she greeted, how she made it sound condescending she didn't know.
"Hello Oni-sama, what are you doing here?" She greeted back, how Hinata had managed to get infront of her she didn't know.
"Me?" Hinata questioned, "I was just taking a short walk. I find it can be quite relaxing." She told her.
"Care to join me?" Hinata asked.
She really, really didn't want to.
"I'm feeling quite tired right now, I think I'll head to my room to rest for the night." She told her sister , gesturing to the moon in the sky. While it might be fake, even devils preferred to sleep at night time.
"Oh that's a shame, but this should only take a few minutes, might I escort you to your room." Hinata asked, but she started to walk off, not giving Hanabi time to answer.
Sighing, Hanabi soon followed.
"The moon is quite lovely tonight, don't you think?" Hinata asked .
And it was, the full moon illuminated the sky, along with the stars sprinkled in the darkness of the night.
All fake of course, and she honestly wished it were real.
"I suppose." Hanabi shrugged.
"Oh really, I always thought you'd like the moon." Hinata reasoned.
She tilted her head, "why's that?" Hanabi questioned.
Hinata smirked, "The moon is always changing, always something new… and always fake."
Hanabi narrowed her eyes, "I suppose you'd know all about things being fake." She retorted.
What she did next surprised Hanabi… Hinata smiled. She actually had a melancholic expression, a contrast to the usual confident and condescending sister she usually knew.
There was a long pause, but then she finally spoke,"You know, back when mom was still alive, we used to always stay up late and watch the stars whenever there was a full moon. It was nice."
she stopped, and Hanabi stopped with her.
"That was," Hinata got close enough to whisper into her ear, "Until she died." She told her coldly, she even activated her Byakugan for added effect.
As she leaned back her expression changed, a smile appeared on her face.
"It looks like we reached your room," Hinata pointed out, and they indeed had, as they were both standing outside it.
"Have a lovely evening." Hinata told her, her mood having completely changed, and she turned to walk away.
Hanabi stared at her sister's backside, she was always so elegant, so noble and so perfect… perfectly fake.
How she despised it.
XXX
After a long pause, she finally opened the door to her room.
It was quite cozy, if a bit bland. 'For a Hyuga shouldn't indulge themselves in such trivial matters' such as things like decorations.
She had a desk, a chair and a bed, along with a closet she kept her clothes in and a small plant she had gotten to liven the place up.
Surveying the room she saw that everything was as it should be, except for one small thing… there was a person sitting on her chair, reading a book.
A masked figure with a blue cloak.
He turned the page, as if he didn't even notice her entering the room.
Until he abruptly got up, he used a hand to store the book in his cloak while the other was limp at his side.
She charged, deciding to strike fast and apprehend the intruder.
Sending her a palm strike towards his chest, he made no movements to stop her. The figure just stood there observing her every move.
The palm connected with his chest… but the strike hadn't landed.
Her palm went straight through his solar plexus, and he walked forward. And as if he were a ghost he completely passed right through her.
In the time it took to recompose herself from her shock at seeing the abnormal ability, he closed the distance between himself and the door.
He placed his palm on the only exit, and elaborate runic symbols appeared on the walls and for an instant they glowed a royal purple.
"There, now we can speak privately." The figure spoke, his mask muffling his voice.
"Who are you" Hanabi demanded, she was in a combat stance, ready to strike him when he gave her an opening. The only problem was that he was currently full of openings, as if he didn't take her seriously at all.
The figure chuckled, "All in good time, little Hanabi." But then he shook his head, "No, that doesn't sound right," he surprised. Then he snapped his finger, as if to symbolize his realization. "Little Firecracker."
"Don't call me that!" She hissed. " I don't like it."
He held his head low, as if he were actually sad. "but I like it, it makes you sound cute."
Had this been any other situation she might have blushed, nobody had called her 'cute' so blatantly before. But there was an unknown intruder in her room and as such, it wasn't exactly the right time.
"What is it you want?" Hanabi demanded.
The figure pondered the question, until finally he spoke. "What I want is you."
"You want to kidnap me." She reasoned. It made sense, she was the daughter of a powerful clan that had an immense amount of wealth. He seemed to have a powerful ability to sneak into practically anywhere he had so desired. So if he wanted to make a large amount of money quickly he could use her as a hostage to extort her clan.
The figure approached her.
She tried to strike, adding more magic into her palms, but like the last time, it just phased right through him. And when he finally neared her, he walked completely past her.
And he just sat on the chair he had previously been sitting on. Instead of pulling back out his book, his attention was entirely on her.
He leaned forward in his sitting position, "'Kidnap you'?" the figure repeated, he almost sounded appalled that she would suggest such a thing.
"I assure you-" he pulled out a chess piece from his pocket, "you will join me of your own volition."
He held out a [Knight] piece.
So that's what he wanted, was this some sort of stunt to get another noble to join their peerage, or maybe even his personal Harem of some kind.
Even at the young age of 14 that she was, she had many future suitors. If Hinata became head of the clan, she would likely be married off to create ties 'for the good of the clan'.
Which honestly wasn't something she particularly liked to think about.
"And what makes you think that?" She asked, assessing her options, looking around for any other means to escape.
"Because I have a deal you just can't refuse." The figure stated flatly.
She narrowed her eyes, "and If I do?" She asked.
"If you refuse-" he crushed the piece within his palm, and like a magician would perform a magic trick, the piece was gone when he reopened it. "I'll disappear, and we'll never see each other again. I have no use for disloyal pieces." The masked man told her.
"I desire pieces with great potential, and talent. Something I'm sure you possess." He stated.
The figure stood up from his sitting position, "but like I said… I think you'll take me up on my offer." The masked man stated.
"And what makes you so sure?" She asked, still in a fighting stance.
"Because I know you." was his short reply.
"You know nothing." She all but hissed out.
The figure cocked his head, as if he were just stating a well known fact." Hanabi Hyuga, daughter to Hiashi Hyuga, and the second heir to the Hyuga clan. Of course this is all basic information." He told her, and it was.
But he went on with his explanation, "Your sister is Hinata Hyuga, a rather volatile woman with a bad temper. While your father is a cold and stern man, even to his own family. This however wasn't always the case. Their personalities seemed to have taken a massive shift after the death of one Akiko Hyuga. Hiashi's wife and Hinata's mother, who had died in the birth of one-" he was interrupted.
"What does this have to do with anything?" She hissed.
"I was getting to that firecracker." He sighed ,
"As I was saying," The figure confined."with the death of your mother, your own father began to distance himself from you both, the reason of his death. This left you at the mercy of the elders within your very clan. They instilled in you their harsh values and ideals, but after some time you began to see things differently.
You began to see the devide between the main branch and side branch. Naturally you kept this to yourself, And pushed it to the side and bottled up your thoughts." He began to walk towards her, slow with each step he took.
"But the more you pushed them away the more they'd emerged. You saw the clan for what it was, and what it was doing. And…" finally he reached her.
He lent forward to whisper in her ear, just as her sister had done earlier in the night.
"You hate your clan for it." He finished, leaning back to see her expression. If he hadn't have his mask on right now she would be able to see his smirk.
She nearly collapsed at his words, as if it were a strike to her face, but she stood on wobbly legs.
"How…" she muttered in shock.
"How did I know?" He finished, " because you're like me." He answered, and her eyes widened at his answer.
It was then his aura became a lot more serious, as if he were a different person entirely.
He reached into his cloak, and pulled out what looked to be a Manila folder.
He reached out to hand it to her, "A gift."
She just stood there, coming to terms with what he had said. Until finally, she reached out for it. Grasping it tightly, she slowly opened it up.
And the more she read the more she was appalled.
"Is this… is this real?" She muttered in disbelief .
He sat back down on the chair and sighed . " Trust me firecracker, I promise you it is. And you'll find I always keep my promises."
She just stared at the folder, not taking her eyes off it. It felt like hours, and her mind was coming to terms with what she had just read. Until finally…
"If I join you, I'd like to know who you are." Hanabistated her one request.
He hummed in thought, pondering her question, until finally he spoke.
"Very well." He agreed. He reached up towards his mask, and he gently removed it from his face. His black hair began to change into a golden blonde, while his pale skin turned to a peach tan.
She recognized him.
"Your…" She gasped.
"Naruto Uzumaki." He finished.
This was the boy who had mysteriously died along with the rest of his clan. If you aged him by 6 years you would see the similarities. This was surely the son of the Yellow Flash. He looked almost like a carbon copy of the famous devil.
He reached out his hand, silently asking her to take it."And so, I ask you…do you desire a change to this system? The system that is only fair for those who have power. This system has long since been corrupted by the plagues of that in the high class. Those who have forsaken the both of us just because they could."
It felt like hours passed on, until finally she took his hand, and nodded and that was all that needed to be said.
His eyes morphed into that of a kaleidoscope-like design, and a black spiral appeared within the room, and they both had vanished.
Leaving the room barren, as if they hadn't even been there at all.

(Present) Gremory Vacation Home
"I thought you hated vegetables ." Rias stated, and there Naruto was, in the kitchen, wearing an apron, and cooking for both their peerages.
Naruto sent a glance towards the red haired girl's direction. The person who had been avoiding him for the past couple of days, ever since his chat with her two [Pieces].
Granted, she had been busy with training and forming strategies to win their rating game. Haku said she had been pushing herself harder in her training, which was good.
But still, he could tell she had been avoiding him.
It hurt, but he knew he needed to say what he did. Both Koneko and Akeno had hidden potential, potential that wouldn't be realized unless they faced their inner demons. They needed a push, and that's what he gave them. He just hoped the push would be enough.
He nodded, chopping an onion on a cutting board. "Well eventually, I learned that if you cook them well enough, them actually taste good."
Throwing the subsequent items into a pan.
Rias raised an eyebrow, "I didn't know you cooked."
"And if I didn't, who would? it certainly wouldn't be your [Pawn]." Naruto snorted, referencing the fact they had let Issei skin the vegetables a few days ago. He had skinned way too many and they had been left to eat mashed potatoes the whole dinner.
He shrugged, "Besides… I've had to survive on my own for 8 years, you kinda have to learn at some point." He started to chop up some peppers.
The mood in the room took on a awkward tone.
"Right…" Rias, kind of forgot about that for a moment. Although he was alive and well, she guessed his parents hadn't been so lucky. Truthfully she wanted to know why, but she had a feeling he wouldn't tell her.
"I just kind of expected you would be making instant ramen or something." Rias half-joked, trying to lighten the mood from its darker tone.
Naruto smiled, "I thought about it, Haku and Hanabi kinda forced me to make something normal for them."
Rias smiled back, it seemed her friend hadn't changed that about him. It had been his old favorite food from what she remembered.
"And your peerage members don't cook because…" she trailed off.
Naruto laughed a bit, "Haku is more into making medicines. Hanabi is trying to get into cooking but right now it isn't the best, although you didn't hear that from me. And suigetsu is more into cooking seafood, and we're in a mountain." He explained.
There was an awkward silence.
"You know," she gestured to the way he was chopping, "it would be faster if you used magic." She reasoned.
Naruto nodded, " I know, but one of my masters always taught me to 'not rely on my magic so much', especially when it comes to things you can do on your own." He repeated what Hiruzen had told him.
He shrugged, "It helps with peace of mind and stuff, gets you to feel accomplished about something you made on your own."
Rias had to agree, while she wasn't the best cook, she often enjoyed making Japanese style dishes.
He put the pan full of vegetables on the stovetop, them having been covered in some type of spice mix.
He turned the stove on, but it seemed to not be co-operating. And after several more repeated turns on the knob it seemed the stove hadn't even went up a few degrees.
Naruto sighed, "But when you can't, you don't." He shrugged as he started a small fire within his fingertips using a spell.
She laughed at that, but a thing he had said caught her attention.
"'Master', who?" Rias asked, she wanted to get to know Her old friend more. Sadly her attempt was quickly shot down.
Naruto turned towards her, "Rias, what is it you really wanted to talk about." He asked, seeing right through her.
Her posture straightened, and she became more serious.
"The things you said to my peerage members." Rias started.
Naruto turned away, seemingly focused on stirring the vegetables.
"That…" Naruto recalled what he said, " they needed a push, and I gave them one." He reasoned.
"You really don't think we'll win this?" Rias reminded him of what he said that night. It hurt that he didn't believe in her, it truly did.
"What I think is irrelevant," Naruto told her, he looked over his shoulder, and smiled a bit. "But I did leave something out."
And upon seeing her gaze, he continued. "They have you, Rias, as their king."
Rias's eyes widened.
"They each care for you. And that push I gave them, it wouldn't have worked unless they had someone to catch them. You." He reasoned, his back was still facing towards her, so she couldn't see his expression.
"That place they're in, that fear of themselves for who they are, it's a deep pit. And you can't get out of it unless you have someone there to help you" He spoke as if he knew what they were going through.
He shrugged, "I was just there to push them, if they end up hating me, then so be it. Your [Queen] seems to already."
Right… from the very start Akeno hadn't been that fond of Naruto, and with what he had told her that night, her opinion had gotten even worse.
"I apologize for Akeno's behavior." She bowed sincerely.
Naruto just fished into the cabinets grabbing something inside. "Meh, it'll take more than a few empty insults to affect me." He shrugged, "besides after tomorrow, it won't matter."
That was right, tomorrow was the rating game, and with the deal she made… this would be her last night seeing her old friend.
He plated the food in the time it took for her to think on it.
"It's time to head out there." He stated, as he began to bring out the many plates full of food to the dining room.
As he left, Rias had a noticeable frown on her face.
XXX
(The Next Day)
"I can't believe they're doing this now of all times!" Issei shouted.
They were all waiting for Grayfia to show up, to take them to their rating game. Originally they were going to meet at the ORC building, but Rias had actually requested she meet them here of all places.
While many of them looked calm, Naruto could tell that they were all nervous.
Rias was trying to keep a calm facade for her peerage, but her hand was shaking ever so slightly. Koneko had adjusted her leather gloves multiple times. While Issei was visibly sweating. Even Kiba, who kept attempting to do last minute maintenance on his swords.
But the worst was probably Akeno, who physically looked calm, keeping her regal posture while standing next to her [King]. But inside Akeno was a mess, her thoughts of what Naruto had said that night had been echoing in her head.
Did she hate herself more than she loved Rias?
Akeno didn't know, and she didn't want to find out.
And there was Naruto's peerage… who were just playing Uno.
"Draw two." Naruto stated, as he put his card on the pile.
"Fuck you!" Suigetsu shouted, him having the most cards out of them all.
"It's natural to feel nervous," Haku reassured. "Red." She called out as she changed the color of the stack.
"-this is your first real battle, and the consequences of you losing are tremendous." Haku told them.
"That doesn't make me feel better!" Issei whined.
"Then trust in your [King, I'm sure she knows what she's doing." Naruto tried to reassure.
Issei mood somewhat brightened at that thought, "Yeah you're right! I'm sure she has some super sweet plan to kick Yakatori's ass!" He shouted, trying to reassure himself.
"Of course… no plan survives first contact with the enemy." Hanabi pointed out, as she placed down her card, a red reverse. She then frowned for an unknown reason.
Her comment brought Issei's mood back down.
"It would do you good not to think about it, worrying won't help you at all." Haku suggested. As she placed down her card.
"Draw four." She told suigetsu.
He threw up his cards as a response, "Gah, I hate this! Always giving me more cards! And the Hyuga's looking at mine!" He pulled out his giant sword and aimed it at Hanabi, who had just deactivated her Byakugan.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." She told him flatly.
"Why not join us for a game?" Naruto suggested. "It would do you well to help calm your nerves."
He then placed down his final card, a plus four. Apparently he had placed an illusion over his cards so they couldn't see how many he had.
"You didn't say Uno!" Suigetsu shouted as he pointed his Kubikiribōchō at the Uzumaki. He just raised an eyebrow, seemingly unbothered by the large sword.
"You didn't call me out on it." He retorted back.
The one-sided argument was about to continue, but they interrupted.
"She's here!" Rias called out, and a magic circle appeared within the room, and out stepped a familiar silver haired woman.
"It's almost time, I hope you're ready for this my lady." Grayfia told them.
"Yes, we're ready whenever you are." Rias responded, and Grayfia nodded
"In a few moments use this magic circle to transport you and the rest of your team to the battlefield." Grayfia instructed.
"And where exactly is the battlefield?" Issei asked.
"In a neutral alternate space, created just for the game, because it's not real we have full license to do some damage, even burn it to the ground if we want. Ufufu" she laughed, happy to get her mind off her previous thoughts.
'That doesn't sound scary at all.' Issei thought sarcastically.
Naruto stretched and stood up from his seat at the table.
Grayfia raised an eyebrow at the figure , but with the information Rias had given her she knew exactly who this person was.
And that he was very dangerous.
"Well it looks like our job here is done." Naruto told them, and his peerage stood up along with him.
He summoned a magic circle and called out, "But we'll be watching your match, so please try to do your best."
Rias's breath hitched.
Time seemed to slow down, ocean blue met a gem-like turquoise. Like the sea and the sky.
He looked at Rias for what should be the final time and smiled. "Goodbye… Rias."
And in an instant, they were gone, in a black inferno.
But would likely be the last time Rias were to see her friend, ever again.
Grayfia looked at the flames, trying to decipher what exactly they were.
And for a few moments, it seemed that she had been familiar with them in the past. But that look was gone an instant after it arrived, and she turned back towards her.
"There's something I forgot to tell you. I thought you'd like to know the great devil Lucifer will be watching the game."
Rias looked off to the side, "Oh, brother dearest." She had a bit of a dejected aura, which many in her peerage chalked up to her estranged relationship with her brother.
Oh, that was right, they didn't know about the deal she and Naruto had made.
It was sad really, some of their peerage members had gotten attached to one another. Suigetsu, Kiba and Issei apparently hit it off with each other. And Hanabi and Koneko had apparently become fast friends. She had even taken a liking to Naruto's [Knight, Haku.
Of course Akeno would likely be thrilled if she heard the news that she wouldn't see Naruto again. But that was beside the point.
Issei perked up, "Woah, are you telling me that your brother is 'The Devil', or am I just hearing things wrong." Issei shouted in surprise.
Kiba turn towards him, "No, Rias's brother is The Lucifer, the King of the Devils."
Issei jumped from his shock, "The Lucifer! The King of the entire Underworld is your big bro!" He shouted at Rias.
"That's right." Rias sighed.
"His name is Sirzechs, although historically, he's been known by many names. During the Great War, our leader died, Sirzechs took over the throne and led us through a dark time. He saved the entire devil kingdom from annihilation." Kiba explained.
"So that's why Rias is the Heir then." Issei reasoned, Kiba nodded.
"I had no idea." Issei admitted.
After a few minutes the magic circle flared, becoming the Gremory's personal circle.
"It's time everyone." Grayfia announced.
Rias stood up, "Then let's go." She ordered, she needed to be strong now.
She had a fight to win.
They each stepped into the magic circle, and in a flash… they were gone.
XXX
(Konoha Hideout)
They were back at their hideout, they all were about to watch Rias's rating game. They figured they might as well, seeing as they spent as much time training them as they had.
So they were in their living room, on their large couch.
Naruto was sitting on a nearby chair, waiting patiently for the match to start. He hadn't said a word since they left.
Hanabi was sitting with a bowl of popcorn in her lap, and much to her displeasure, suigetsu was sitting next to her.
"Hey, pass the popcorn!" Suigetsu called out, but much to his displeasure, Hanabi refused to do so. He quickly rushed to grab some out of bucket, but a harsh slap stopped his heist.
"Do you two seriously have snacks for a time like this?" Haku deadpanned.
The two looked between themselves, then back at Haku, and then back at themselves.
They both shrugged.
"Sometimes I cannot believe you two." Haku sighed.
"Shhh it's about to start." Hanabi told them, as the shark-toothed boy abruptly stole some of her popcorn.
She frowned, but definitely didn't pout, one such as herself absolutely did not pout.
XXX
(With Sona)
Sona Sitri was in the live broadcasting booth for the official rating game matches. Although this was an unofficial match, this was done so family members could watch. And as a friend to Rias Gremory, Sona had decided to help out.
She was with her [Queen, Tsubaki Shinra.
Tsubaki is a young bespectacled woman with long straight black hair that extends all the way down to her knees, with split bangs and heterochromic eyes, with a violet left eye and a light brown right eye.
In addition to wearing the Kuoh Academy girls' school uniform, she also wears blue, semi-rimmed glasses with square lenses.
It was a just few minutes before the match started.
"It's Rias's first rating game, I do hope she makes this interesting." Sona commented.
Earlier they had tried to visit the old school building to talk to Rias, but it appeared that she hadn't been there in some time. It was quite perplexing.
"Who do you think will win?" Tsubaki asked.
Sona adjusted her glasses, "If I was a betting girl, I'd say 'she'd beat that scumbag seven ways from Sunday'." She had full confidence in her rival.
Tsubaki nodded , hoping her [King] was right.
It was then the announcements began.
"Your attention please." A voice echoed throughout the room. "Welcome everyone, my name is Grayfia, I'm a servant of the House of Gremory. I will be your referee in today's match.
To create the battlefield you will be competing in, I took suggestions from both Lady Rias and Lord Riser. Your may recognize this place as it's an exact replica of Kuoh Academy. An educational institution in the human world." She explained.
"Each team has been given an area that will serve as its home base. Lady Rias, your crew will be in the Occult Research Club Headquarters in the old schoolhouse." Grayfia announced.
"Show me Phoenix." Sona ordered.
"Yes ma'am." Tsubaki obliged .
An image of Riser surround by a multitude of women appeared on the screen.
"Lord Riser's home base will be located in the principal's office in the new schoolhouse. Pawns will be promoted if they can make their way to the homebase of the opposing team.
Good luck to all!" Grayfia announced.
After a few minutes, she announced.
"All right devils, let the game begin!"
XXX
It had all gone wrong.
At first he and Koneko had been sent to the school gym to capture it for their peerage. He had managed to take down three of Riser's [Pawns]. While Koneko took down a single [Rook].
They had retreated, which allowed for Akeno to blow up the entire building, along with the four of Riser's members inside.
But sadly they had been ambushes. And Koneko had been blasted by Riser's [Queen, Yubelluna, who had the ability to create large explosions with her magic.
Luckily Akeno had shown up to face her.
And then he had managed to regroup with Kiba, who had battled and defeated another three of Riser's [Pawns] in the nearby forests.
They were then attacked by the remainder of Riser's peerage, minus his Queen. But using an ability he gained over the training period, which he called Dragon Shot. He was able to take out one of Riser's [Rooks]. And Kiba had taken down another [Knight].
After that, he had even managed to unlock a new ability to give power to his allies and other objects. And with that he had given Kiba a large amount of his boosted power.
Using Sword Birth, a sacred gear Kiba possessed, which allowed him to create numerous amounts of demonic swords. Kiba was then able to take out Riser's remaining two [Pawns, [Knight, and a [Bishop].
But then things took a turn for the worse.
Akeno had lost.
And Yubelluna had managed to take out Kiba through a surprise attack. Nobly sacrificing himself to push him out of the way.
But what's worse, is that she didn't even see him as a threat, she chose to leave him in favor of regrouping with her [King].
Exhausted from his last two battles, he mustered all his strength. All his will to keep fighting, he trudged onward to Riser's base. He promoted himself to [Queen, met up with Rias and Riser, he was about to BEAT THAT YAKITORI BASTARD'S ASS.
But then… he collapsed, his body gave out, and all his exhaustion washing over him in one fell swoop.
The last thing he remembered was Rias's tears.
And then she surrendered.

"Heh…They sucked." Suigetsu surmised.
"Says the weakest here." Hanabi pointed out, and Suigetsu's head slumped.
"For a peerage that only had 5 members they did pretty well. They were able to take out a majority of Riser's peerage, and had it not been for their Phenex tears it is highly likely they could have won." Haku pointed out.
"I don't know, Naruto-Sama what do you think?" Hanabi asked.
"Hmm…" Naruto, who seemed to be thinking about something, broke out of his trance. "Oh, it's possible, but they would still have to deal with both Riser and his sister. But they would still have Issei, Kiba, Akeno and Rias. So I think it could have gone either way at that point." Naruto concluded.
He stood up, stretching, he spoke. "it's getting late, I think I'm going to head to bed. You all have a lovely evening." As he walked off.
Haku and Hanabi frowned, they stared at where Naruto had been.
Then they both shared a look, while suigetsu stole more of Hanabi's popcorn.

"That was most unfortunate." Sirzechs sighed, "I had hoped having The Red Dragon Emperor in Rias's peerage would allow her to triumph over Phenex."
Grayfia nodded, "As did I, although he did put on quite the show."
Sirzechs had to agree. "Indeed, being a devil for such a short time and still being able to take down four of Riser's [Pieces] all on his own. Not to mention the new ability he had unlocked during the game. In the future he could very well become a powerful asset to Rias's peerage ." He stated.
"What do you plan to do?" Grayfia asked.
"Me? I plan to do nothing." He answered. "I want you to send an order to Rias's peerage to stand down during the ceremony. I want there to be no interruptions from them during the engagement party."
It was then that Sirzechs reached into his desk, and what he pulled out, slightly surprised Grayfia.
It was a card.
But not just any card, it was Naruto Uzumaki's summoning card.
Realization dawned across Grayfia's delicate features. She bowed, "I will at once Lucifer-sama."
As she left she heard her [King] mutter to himself.
"I do believe it's time for the Uzumaki clan to rise again."

Naruto was alone in his room, laying down on his bed. But he wasn't asleep, his eyes were open, and he was just contemplating his thoughts.
An Eerie red glow began to emanate from his wrist band.
He smiled to himself.
"It's about time." He muttered.
