Chapter 8- Uzumaki Emergence

They were all discussing Naruto's plan to help Rias.

"Absolutely Not!" Hanabi shouted.

"I don't know, it could work. I mean we were already planning to come out in the open eventually. Plus there is a large amount of High-class devils already at the ball so word would get out pretty quickly. Plus we would be able to use the publicity of a love-story to our advantage, people love to eat that shit up." Suigetsu reasoned.

They all stared at him in shock.

"That was…" Haku blinked.

" …surprisingly smart, and so unlike you." Hanabi finished, narrowing her eyes in disbelief.

Suigetsu grit his teeth. "Hey! I can be smart, I just hate all this political crap and would rather cut things instead."

Naruto sighed at their behavior, "Suigetsu's right." Suigetsu looked smug at that comment. " We were planning to show ourselves eventually, and besides. I have a feeling the Red Clouds are going to show themselves soon enough."

An aura of silence engulfed the room, those who didn't know of the red clouds personally had at least heard about them within the peerage.

Naruto ran a hand through his blonde locks. "Look, I won't do this unless a majority of you agree. And right now you three are the only ones here. So you guys are going to have to represent the rest of my peerage. Are you with me on this?" He asked.

"I vote yes, it's been getting to boring around here, at least then we'll get to see some action." Suigetsu grinned at the thought of fighting more often.

"I vote no." Hanabi stated, but she didn't give her reasoning.

The three left in the room all stared at the final person.

Haku bit her lip, seriously considering each option, the three's stares not helping her decision.

Until finally, she spoke, "I…"

"This is supposed to be an engagement party, but this looks more like a wedding dress." Rias sighed as she looked into the mirror.

She was now wearing an extravagant white dress with a gold necklace over her old silver one and white gloves.

"You're exactly right." A voice spoke, it was then that a multitude of flames appeared in the room, to signify a phoenix's arrival.

"Riser-sama, you can't. This area is off limits." A nearby maid informed. This was the room where the bride was supposed to get ready.

"Don't be so rigid." He waved her off. "I'm the star of the party tonight." Riser told them.

He then turned towards her, "Oh, right, the bride is the star, My bad." Riser corrected, although he still sounded condescending while doing it .

"I'm not a bride just yet." She told him, and he sneered.

"What's up with this dress?" Rias asked, it was far too like a wedding dress for her liking.

"It's perfect," he told her, he closed the distance between them as he placed a hand on her shoulder. She absolutely hated it. " It'll show the devil world the bonding between the Gremory and Phenex households. Wearing this, it makes it easy for you to give up, doesn't it." Although he noticed something that didn't fit.

Abruptly, he stole the vial necklace that she had around her neck.

"Don't touch that!" She hissed.

Riser narrowed his eyes, "This was given to you by that half rate Phenex, wasn't it?" She asked as he stared at it.

Rias stole the necklace back from him, "I won't let you insult him." She grounded out.

" Oh, you still care about him?" Riser mocked, "well he's dead, him and his low-rate clan died 8 years ago. Good riddance I say, we don't need filth such as them dirtying up the underworld."

Rias glared hatefully at her fiancé. "Riser! Leave! Now!" She snarled.

He jumped back a little in shock, but then he quickly regained his composure as an arrogant smirk formed across his face.

"Alright, if it pleases 'My Rias' then I'll leave." Riser mocked.

"But don't worry. Your actual wedding ceremony will be on a whole different level. Following the Phenex family tradition, it'll be the realm's most gorgeous dress, decorated with wings of fire!" He told her, as he disappeared in an array of yellow flames.

As he left, rias could only stare at the necklace she held within her hand.

She thought about the memory of how she'd gotten it.

Flashback (8 years ago)

It was a few days since their assassination attempt, and about a month from Naruto's disappearance and apparent death.

He hadn't visited rias since the incident occurred, instead he chose to do some more research on what his parents had informed him of.

He knocked on Rias's bedroom door… no answer.

He knocked again, still no answer.

And he knocked a third time, and again there was no response.

"I'm not going to leave until you come out." Naruto sighed, as he sat down with his back against the door.

It was faint, but he heard a multitude of small footsteps.

And slowly, the door opened slightly .

"Naruto?" He heard a faint voice ask.

He looked up from his sitting position and smiled, "Rias I… Ack!"

He was quickly pulled into the dark room, and just like before, it was filled with a vast quantity of anime memorabilia.

He was quickly in Rias's embrace and he felt a wetness well up in his shirt.

"Naruto I…" she cried into his chest. The thought of almost losing her best friend being too much for her.

He just pulled her closer, uncaring of the tears soaking his clothing, slowly caressing her back to sooth her even more. "Rias… I'm here."

"Naruto you… you almost died… I almost lost you… and… and then…" she cried, 'Then you looked so scary, like the last time.' Rias could speak the words came to her mind.

They just sat there for what felt like hours, until Rias tearfully looked up towards her best friend, he smiled at her.

Naruto brought his hand up, resting it on her cheek."Rias… I'm here" He gently wiped the tears away with his thumb. " There's no need to cry, tears don't suit you." He told her.

She smiled, happy to be with her friend.

"I'm sorry… for not being there for you." He felt horrible for leaving her on her own during such a traumatic event.

She reached up and grabbed onto his hand with her own and gently squeezed it. "It's fine… you're here now." Rias assured.

They sat there, content in each other's company.

"Rias," he called out, drawing her attention. " I have something for you." He told her.

Rias raised an eyebrow, wondering what he wasn't talking about.

He reached into her pocket, and pulled out a silver necklace. It had a silver chain, with a blue tinted vial as the centerpiece, and it was surrounded by a few sapphires.

She took it in her hand, admiring it. "What's inside?" Rias asked.

"My tears." He responded.

And upon seeing her gaze he blushed in embarrassment, that's right, it wasnt normal to give someone else their tears.

"Well… since I'm a Phenex, my tears possess a healing quality to them." He explained, scratching his cheek a little. "I guess it's my way of saying that if you're ever in need, I'll be there to protect you." He told her.

And at that her eyes lit up, "promise?" She asked.

Naruto smiled, and nodded. "Promise, and I always keep my promises."

It was then that rias had tackled him, and he lost his balance, which caused them both to fall over. She lent forward and abruptly kissed his cheek.

It was fast, but he could still feel the warmth of her lips on his cheek. He looked down to see Rias's blushing face burried in his chest, she wouldn't meet his gaze.

He smiled, he wouldn't miss this for the world.

Rias smiled at the memory, still held the necklace on her neck to this day.

Perhaps, in another life. If Naruto's clan had not died, it would be him that she would be marrying.

She shook her head and laughed a little, that was just a silly thought.

(Phenex banquet hall)

The banquet hall for the engagement part was filled with High-class devils from prestigious families there to show their support.

This marriage was a way for pure-blood devils to show that they were still strong to their half-blood counterparts.

And as such, the large room was filled with chatter.

"My brother won a bride through a Rating Game!" Ravel Phenex giggled.

Ravel is a beautiful young girl with dark blue eyes. She has long blonde hair tied into twintails with large, drill-like curls and blue ribbons keeping them in place. The front of her hair has several bangs hanging over her forehead, with a V-shaped fringe hanging over the bridge of her nose.

Her outfit consisted of a light purple dress with dark purple accents and a blue bow at the front. At the back, three feather-like extensions mimicking a bird's tail protrude from the dress, which, when combined with her wings of fire, give her a bird-like appearance

"It was obvious from the start who was going to win, but it was a good show nonetheless!" She bragged.

"Look at her bragging." Kiba grounded out . He was wearing a nice tuxedo, with a majority of his hair slicked back, with a few bangs in the front.

"She must have forgotten it was broadcast." Akeno stated, she was wearing an elegant black kimono. With a flower-like bow on her head along with her normal ponytail she usually had on.

It was then that a figure approached.

"President Sona." Kiba greeted.

"The result aside, the match was quite impressive," Sona complimented, "or rather, clearly above anyone's expectations."

"Thank you for the compliment, but no need to be so considerate." Akeno smiled, a fake one at that.

"I can't believe it's all over!" Issei wailed, "Rias's virginity is supposed to be mine!" He cried, he was wearing a black tuxedo, similar to Kiba's, only his was fitted to fit his frame instead.

Koneko frowned, shortly after the rating game, Grayfia had told them that 'Lucifer had ordered for there to be no interruptions from them. Under penalty of death.'

They each wanted to ignore the order, but they all knew Rias would be devastated with their deaths.

It was then that a yellow flame appeared in the room, showing Riser's entrance . He wore a white tuxedo, with several of the buttons unbuttoned to show his chiseled chest beneath.

Akeno's fist tightened, as she remembered a particular moment in the rating game.

Flashback (During the Rating Game)

She blasted Riser's Queen with a large amount of electricity, sending her into the pavement.

She got up, wiping a bit of blood off of her face. "P-Priestess of Thunder, you're indeed formidable." Yubelluna ground out.

Yubelluna is a voluptuous woman with long, wavy purple hair that falls all the way down her back and matching eyes. At the front, the right side of her hair falls over her breast and covers her right eye, while the left side falls near the top of her skirt.

Her attire is a dress consisting of a navy blue tunic top with gold accents and a pale blue skirt with open sides, black shoes and over matching thigh-high stockings with garter belts. The top reveals much of her cleavage, and is held with a gold choker with blue and red jewels. Over this, she wears a white overcoat with black and gold accents and matching pauldrons. For accessories, she wears a black headband with a red-orange jewel over her forehead to keep her long hair in place, and wields a staff-like scepter in battle. For cosmetics, she wears purple lipstick and nail polish, that matched her eyes and hair.

However, her attire was heavily damaged, with scorch marks and burns marring her body. courtesy of the fight she was now participating in, a testament to Akeno's strength.

Yubelluna smirked, " But your magic is already depleted." She stated.

"Worry not." Akeno assured, her clothes were also heavily damaged, with a large rip down the middle that showed off a generous amount of cleavage. "I'll recover after a short rest."

Yubelluna laughed, "I'm not sure you'll have time to rest." She then pulled out a vial of liquid from her dress.

Akeno recognized the liquid, "That's…"

"You fell for it." Yubelluna stated, as she opened the vial, allowing the liquid to fall upon her. A yellow glow enveloping her form. Her magic reserves grew significantly, almost to the point where they matched her normal reserves.

Akeno tried to stop her, but she got an explosive blast for her troubles, as she collapsed on the ground.

Unable to recover.

She was weak, she was about to lose… to fail Rias. Could she do that? Fail the one person who cared for her?

She thought back to what Naruto had told her.

'Did she love Rias more than she hated herself?'

Akeno stood up on wobbly legs, using all her will power to stand. As she gathered lightning into her palms, but unlike before, this lightning was sky blue in its color.

Holy Lightning.

Her birthright, a testament that she was the daughter of Baraqiel, a Governor General of the Grigori, or the Fallen Angel Faction.

As she was about to throw her holy magic at her opponent.

Boom

An explosion was met as her response, before she was able to blast her opponent.

All because she hadn't made her decision quick enough. She vaguely saw Issei's silhouette in the distance.

And then she was gone.

"Rias-sama's [Queen, retired." Grayfia announced.

(Present)

"Famed nobles of the underworld! The Phoenix family is honored by your attendance tonight. We invited you all to share the historic moment in which I, Riser Phenex, and the heiress apparent of the Gremory Family, Rias Gremory, formally announce our intent to marry each other." Riser announced.

Issei grit his teeth, it was obvious that this Bastard only wanted to use Rias for her body. He was about to object, but a hand made it's way onto his shoulder.

It was Akeno's, as she shook her head, discouraging any actions he was about to make.

Akeno looked so defeated.

Riser brought his hand out in a grandiose fashion and called out. " Without further ado, let me introduce…"

A red magic circle appeared within the ball room, as Rias appeared in a shower of sparkles. If you looked closely, you could see that a large frown adorned Rias's face.

"My empress, Rias Gremory." Riser finished.

It was then that a multitude of loud noises could be heard from outside the building.

Off to the side, one Sirzechs Lucifer smirked, "it's about time." He muttered.

(Outside)

A figure could be seen off in the distance, he made no efforts to conceal himself as he stepped forward.

As he neared the building a guard called out to him, "Stop! Who goes there?" The guard ordered, as he readied his blade.

Naruto made no moves to answer him, instead he opted to summon a black magic circle and blast the guard with a torrent of wind magic.

Of course, he wasn't trying to mortally wound or even kill the guards. Maybe a beat down would show them how relaxed they had been on their job.

Effortlessly grabbing a large spear that had been aimed at his chest, being careful to have not grabbed the pointed edge. He pushed it back, which in turn sent the guard holding onto it flying.

As he started to reach the door more and more guards got in his way. Of course, for him, this was no trouble at all.

(Inside)

It was then that a large blast of air was sent at the door, which sent a torrent of winds inside the building as the large door had been blown open.

Rias stared at the figure in shock.

A figure stepped forward, wearing a porcelain three eyed Fox mask, with a fur-lined blue cloak.

That was Naruto. What was he doing here?

"How dare you break in!" Riser snarled, "Who the hell are you!" He demanded.

The figure made no attempts to answer, as he continued to walk forward silently.

"Who is that man?" Ravel asked in shock.

Akeno, Koneko, Kiba and Issei stared in shock, that was the same person who had saved them during the incident a few weeks ago.

"Seize him!" Riser shouted, and it was then that a multitude of guards came forward, but a harsh blast of winds sent them back.

Riser sent a fireball at the intruder, which made contact with the figure. But as the dust cleared, the figure could still be seen, no worse for wear and not a speck of dust on his clothing.

"A lovely reception, don't you agree?" The figure asked rhetorically. As he continued his march forward, slowly making his way to the end of the hall.

"What are you? Riser demands it!" Riser shouted, although he dialed his attack back to keep damage to a minimum, it had still been powerful.

"I mean, you invited my fiancé. I thought I would have also received an invitation as well." He shook his head at that thought. "I guess it might've been asking for too much." He mused.

"Fiancé" Rias repeated, what was Naruto talking about?

"What the hell are you talking about!" Riser demanded, two fireballs dancing within his palms.

The figure turned towards Riser, only then acknowledging his presence.

"8 years ago, a marriage was announced. A union between both House Gremory an House Phenex." The figure explained, what it had to do with anything Riser didn't know.

"But why only 8 years ago? What happened 8 years ago to announce it just then? Why not announce the marriage earlier? Surely announcing it as soon as possible would have a greater affect." He questioned.

The figure continued, "The truth is that the marriage contract had just been formed the year they announced it, but why?"

"What are you talking about!" Riser demanded.

The masked man just sighed, "I was getting to that, alway with the interruptions." He muttered.

"Anyways, the reason for why the contract had been formed the year it was announced, was because Rias Gremory was already within another marriage contract. But with the previous contract being annulled. Due to the death of the heir she was wedded to."

A few of the smarter devils in the room realized what he was getting at, and gasped.

He turned towards Riser once more. "You wanted to know who I am?" He asked.

The figure reached for his mask, and as he pulled it off, his skin became tanned as his hair gained a golden color.

Many of the devils in the room gasped, this man infront of them looked like a carbon copy of Minato Namikaze, The Yellow Flash of the Underworld.

The only problem was that his eyes were currently a blood red with spinning tomoe, the Sharingan. Something that Minato had never possessed, that would mean…

"My Name is Naruto of the Uzumaki Clan. And the rightful fiancé of one Rias Gremory!" He announced.

And as he announced that, the silence in the room was so large you could hear a pin drop. But as more and more people began to mutter amongst themselves.

Naruto held a red magic circle with a spiral pattern within his right hand, confirming his identity within the Uzumaki clan. A contrast to the normal black with three tomoe circles he normally used.

And a document in the other hand, the actual marriage contract in his left.

It even possessed the Official Uzumaki and Gremory Clan Seal. An important thing to remember about an Official Clan Seal, that could never be forged by an outside party.

That meant that the document was an official document signed by the clan head.

Riser stared at the man, before his anger resurfaced

Riser attempted to send a fireball at the document, but the seals that had been placed on it by his clan had prevented its destruction.

"Careful Riser, destruction of an official clan document is a crime." Naruto warned.

Rias turned towards Zeoticus, "Father, is this this true?" A bit of hope sneaking into her questioning gaze.

But right now, Zeoticus's mind was at work. Truthfully, the union between the Gremory and Uzumaki Clan was meant to be a secret until Rias and Naruto had been older, at the request of his good friend Minato.

The only people who actually knew about the contract was Venelana, who would've told him about this stunt.

The Phenex and Gremory council, who probably wouldn't have even organized the event, in favor of having Rias marry Riser.

Kushina and Minato Uzumaki, who were thought dead. But if their son was here and alive, it was also possible that they had also survived the clan's extinction.

…And Sirzechs, and judging by the look his son gave him, it only confirmed his theory. Now that he looked at the document, it looked to the official document they had submitted to the Maou for official documentation.

Zeoticus actually laughed, so that was Sirzechs game? He decided to play along. "It is indeed true, and it would appear that Rias is slated to wed two people. What ever will we do?" He questioned.

Sirzechs stepped up, Grayfia in tow. "Perhaps I have a solution." He offered up. "It would appear that Rias Gremory is offered up to be Wes to two clans. Now this can't due as it would violate several clauses in both agreements."

Sirzechs then clapped his hands, as if to symbolize his realization. "Perhaps we should settle this in a Rating Game?" He questioned.

"I think that is a lovely idea." Zeoticus agreed.

"Great! What say you?" Sirzechs asked, addressing both Riser and Naruto.

Riser grew an arrogant smirk across his face, confident he would win such a confrontation. "Riser agrees, but if this half-rate devil wishes to challenge a Phoenix such as I, that will be his downfall." He goaded.

Meanwhile, Naruto seemed to be cleaning out his ears, "Hmm… did you say something?" He asked, channeling his inner Kakashi, knowing for people like Riser, it was absolute tortureto them.

"Riser-sama has challenged you to a Rating Game, do you wish to accept Naruto-san " Grayfia asked.

Naruto shrugged, "Do you expect me to come all this way and back out now? Of course I wish to accept."

The Lucifer clapped his hands, "Great, an official Rating Game as been announced, this ceremony was getting boring anyway. Gather your peerages and prepare for battle, I believe I have an area already laid out."

It was then that 15 beatiful women surrounded Riser, this was his full peerage.

"Wow." Naruto blinked in surprise.

Riser smirked, "Ha! Of course, seeing my peerage you must see how pointless this endeavor is?"

"No, it's not that," Naruto shook his head, "it's just that I didn't expect you to go for quantity over quality."

He then grew a smirk across his face, "allow me to show you mine."

He summoned a magic circle. Out stepped three cloaked individuals, they each had on a white cloak with several red stripes lining the bottom. Each had on a different porcelain mask, specifically an Owl, a Shark and a Rabbit.

"Ha! What kind of peerage is that! You only have three members." Riser mocked.

"I only need three members to beat you," Naruto told him, "I thought it would hasten things up a bit" he commented.

"Now that both peerages are here, why don't we get started?" Sirzechs announced.

(The Rating Game viewing booth.)

The match was about to begin in a few minutes , Sirzechs had been kind enough to help broadcast the event far an wide. Which made sense, the Uzumaki clan had been thought long dead, to find that there was a living member was a huge boon to the underworld.

Did that mean that Sirzechs were in on this?

And did Rias care? Truthfully she was glad to see Naruto again, but she couldn't help but wonder if he could do what she could not.

Akeno was going through a similar line of thoughts, only they had a different ending. Had The Lucifer been in on this? But he had ordered them not to interfere, or perhaps he had just ment Rias's peerage.

Did that mean that he didn't believe they could defeat Riser? I mean they hadn't before, so how could they now.

Whatever the case, she just hoped that Naruto could succeed.

For Rias.

Issei didn't know what to feel, but seeing that man, the man who reminded him so much of that night. He couldn't stop his hand from trembling.

(With Sirzechs)

Sirzechs was sitting with the Lords and Lady's of both houses Gremory and Phenex.

"Excellent, this is all going according to my plan." Sirzechs muttered.

"Plan?" Zeoticus repeated.

"Truthfully I'm the one who organized this event from the very start." Sirzechs admitted, " I hope that is alright with the both of you."

"Truthfully I am content with both outcomes," Lord Phenex admitted, and upon seeing their gazes he continued. "If Riser wins he will still be slated to marry into the Gremory clan. But Riser has recently become arrogant and reliant on his devil abilities, and losing a battle could potentially improve his behavior." He explained.

And they all nodded.

It was the Gremory's turn to respond, but Zeoticus just laughed, "Ha, I've honestly had my suspicions that this was your doing. But this was indeed a surprise, who would've thought that Naruto Uzumaki was alive." He mused.

"If I'm being honest, I've only known for a short time." Sirzechs admitted.

"Then how did you find out?" Zeoticus inquired.

"Ah! It was actually Rias who had found out about his apparent ruse." The Lucifer informed.

"And what has he been doing for the past 8 years." Venelana inquired.

"I…" Sirzechs thought about it, "have no idea." He finished.

And all of the occupants in the room signed.

But if rumors we to be believed, Naruto was apparently very strong.

A boogyman in the underworld of a sort.

He hoped that he had chosen well, because as payment for saving his sister, he, The Lucifer, had given the young devil one favor.

(In Kyoto)

"This is such a drag. And I know he's gonna make us do more work after this." Deer sighed, as he gazed at the tv with a lazy expression.

"Well at least he isn't boring." Dog commented, as he turned a page in his orange book.

"Who would've thought that our [King] would be such a cliche." Monkey sighed, as he took out a cigarette from his pocket and tried to light it.

Keyword was tried, as Raven grabbed it out of his hand and threw it on the ground. "I don't know, I think it's a little sweet." Raven commented.

It was then that a child with black spiky hair and red eyes quickly ran in the room. She also appeared to be holding a throwing knife.

"Mirai, slow down! You're gonna hurt yourself." Raven told her child.

Deer once again sighed, "Marriage is such a drag."

Dog eye smiled, "who knows, one of these days you might have one of your own."

Deer gazed at the two parents as they tried to pry the kunai out of the child's hands.

"Troublesome."

"Who would've thought the Gaki would've had it in him. He just nailed a hot redhead." Jiraiya laughed.

"Oh, be nice." Yasaka sighed as she shook her head.

Jiraiya stuck his hands out in a dramatic fashion, " I mean, he has all those beautiful women at his beck and call and he doesn't do anything with them. He hasn't even bedded one of them. Oh life is so cruel!" Jiraiya cried fake anime tears.

All the while Yasaka had a disapproving gaze. She just wished she hadn't given the bodyguards she hired the night

(In a forest)

In a shack in the wilderness, a woman with short brown hair and black eyes could could be seen.

As she stared at the screen she had only had one thought.

"Well, isn't that nice." She gushed.

"Now If only someone would do that for me." She sighed.

(In a desert)

An Auburn haired teen trudged on through the vast sands. On his back, he seemed to be carrying a large gourd on his back.

It was then he got a message on his mobile device, how it worked in the middle of the desert he didn't bother to find out.

Opening it up, he stared at the screen.

"So, it's begun" he commented in a raspy voice, whether his voice was raspy from the desert sand or if it was his normal voice was yet to be seen.

(In heaven)

So that's 'The Indra' of this current generation that you keep telling me about?" Micheal commented.

"Oh, Naruto-Kun's on?" Gabriel asked.

"Indeed, it appears he is fighting in a rating game for the hand in marriage of the heiress of gremory. Isn't that sweet?" Michael asked.

But as he turned to Gabriel, it almost looked like she ate a sour lemon.

(In the grigori)

"Well, well, well, if it isn't our good friend Naruto Uzumaki." Azazel commented.

"Hey Vali!" He yelled out.

After a few minutes, a shadowed figure entered the room. "What is it you want?" The now named 'Vali' asked.

"Oh it's nothing." Azazel then grew a large smirk on his face. "It's just that our lovely 'friend' Naruto is about to enter a rating game. And it looks like it's for a lovely marriage with one Rias Gremory, isn't that sweet?" He asked sarcastically.

It was then that Vali hastily turned towards the screen, with an icy glare that spoke of nothing but absolute fury for the recipient.

"What!" Vali grounded out slowly, through gritted teeth.

(In the rating game)

Naruto and his peerage were gathered on the roof of their main base, it was apparently the Kuoh main school building.

They had been given the same arena Rias had fought in. This time, riser had chosen to reside in the old school building, for 'what was his fiancé's was also his' or something like that. Naruto didn't care enough to refute him.

They were just waiting for the announcements to begin.

"Your attention please." A voice echoed throughout the room.

"Welcome everyone, my name is Grayfia, I'm a servant of the House of Gremory. I will be your referee in today's match. " she announced.

"Heh, about time." Shark grinned as he gripped the handle of his large blade.

Your may recognize this place as it's an exact replica of Kuoh Academy. An educational institution in the human world." Grayfia explained.

"Each team has been given an area that will serve as its home base. Lord Riser, your peerage will be in the Occult Research Club Headquarters in the old schoolhouse." Grayfia announced.

"Come on! Let's get this started." Shark, or Suigetsu hollered out.

"Can't you be quiet for two minutes." Owl, or Hanabi sighed.

All the while Naruto was staring impassively into the distance, his mask now adorning his face once again.

"Lord Naruto's home base will be located in the principal's office in the new schoolhouse. Pawns will be promoted if they can make their way to the homebase of the opposing team.

Good luck to all!" Grayfia announced.

After a few minutes, she announced. "All right devils, let the game begin!"

"Rabbit!" Naruto ordered.

It was then that Rabbit, or Haku channeled a large amount of magic. A large icy orb appeared within her palms, as she sent it flying across the arena.

It however exploded prematurely.

(With Riser)

"What Is he doing?" Ravel questioned.

"Ha! His peerage can't even do a spell properly." Riser laughed as he watched the spell go off prematurely. "Why don't you girls go and deal with him." Riser ordered

(With Sirzechs)

As Sirzechs watched the attack explode upon itself, he could also witness the cold fog that was forming around the entire arena

'So that's his plan.' Sirzechs realized, ' he had his [Piece] intentionally misfire their attack so he could give his peerage a large cover.' He thought.

'But what's your next move?' He questioned.

(With Naruto)

After a few minutes, Naruto summoned a magic circle, and out stepped a grinning seven tailed fox. He knew exactly what time it was.

"I want the four of you to deal with his peerage, just as we planned." Naruto ordered.

(Outside the school building)

Three of Riser's [Pawns] had traversed the arena, which had been surprisingly harder with the fog that had been setting in. But what was even more surprising was the fact that they hadn't met any opposition at all as of late.

Quickly making their way into the building, they were now able to promote.

With one promoting to [Knight, another a [Bishop] and the last a [Rook].

"Ha! How dumb can this devil be?" One laughed.

"I know, they'd just let us promote like that." Another agreed.

"It's like they're asking to lose." Another added in.

"There seems to be a common misconception." A unfamiliar voice spoke out, and in the distance, barely visible. There was one of the cloaked figures, specifically the one with an owl mask.

"It's not that Naruto-sama is planning to lose," Owl spoke, as she rushed the three [Promoted Pawns]. "but to show you that we can defeat you even at your best." She assured, as she neared one of her opponents.

Owl launched a multitude of fast Jūken strikes, which sent the [Pawn] collapsing to the ground.

As she did that, she had also sent her palm out, sending a large amount of magic within the air. As the vacuum palm hit her target, one of the [Pawns] who had conveniently fallen on top of her last opponent.

Which surprised her enough for Owl to quickly get the drop on her.

"Riser Three [Pawns, retired." Grayfia announced.

Under her mask, Hanabi smirked.

( on the other side of the school building)

The second group Riser sent out had experienced the same as the first.

They had attempted to make their way to their opponent's base, but through the school gym.

Which had been surprisingly harder with the fog that had been setting in. But what was even more surprising was the fact that they hadn't met any opposition at all as of late.

Quickly making their way into the building, With the nearby [Rook] guarding the three [Pawns] while they promoted.

"Well, that was easy" one of the chainsaw wielding twins called out.

"It really was." The other twin agreed.

"Quiet! I think I heard something." The resident [Rook] ordered, as the others tried to listen to what she was hearing.

Now that they thought about it, the fog was getting pretty thick now that they were actually paying attention to it.

"8 points," a voice called out through the mist.

"Huh? What's that?" The third [Pawn] questioned.

The voice continued, "larynx, spine, lungs, liver, jugular, subclavian artery, kidneys, heart. Now, which will be my kill point?" The voice asked.

It was then that a large sword made its way through the spoke, right in the way of the pawn who had just spoken.

Each of the [Pieces] were frozen in fear as they watched one of their comrades be cut down right in front of them.

"W-What is that?" A twin questioned, as she too was cut down.

"Nel!" Lle yelled out, only for her to suffer the same fate as her sister.

Xuelan readied herself for her enemy, she 'wouldn't let herself fall to this man… no monster.' She told herself.

What she hadn't expected, was a bullet shaped blast of water to pierce her in the leg. But it was shortly after that a large cleaver had pierced her just like her teammates.

"Man, that was boring." Shark sighed, as he hefted the large blade onto his back.

The four pieces he had just 'killed' were probably fine, them having been retrieved before they had received their critical injuries. They were likely being healed right now.

That just took all the fun out of it.

"Riser one [Rook, Three [Pawns, retired." Grayfia announced.

(With Kurama)

In the large courtyard between the school houses there was a large open area. An area that just so happened to have a large 7 tailed kitsune residing in it at the moment.

Out of all the peerage, it was probably Kurama who was having the most fun.

The demon Fox had the ability to grow and shrink in size, which allowed for him to shrink to the size of a normal Fox. Or he could revert back to his original size, which was about the size of a normal three-story house.

"Mwahaha! Fear me devils! For I, the legendary Kitsune, Kurama, am your adversary!" He laughed, as he swung his overly large tail at one of Riser's [Pawns]. Which made the other [Pawn] angry at the apparent 'death' of their sister, but not for long, as soon after she suffered a similar fate.

The stupid cat girls didn't stand a chance.

"Riser two [Pawns, retired." Grayfia announced.

He just continued to swing his tails violently, laughing all the while. The harsh winds he generated from his swings were too much for a majority of Riser's peerage members, sending them flying back.

Ravel Phenex was not having the day she expected. At first, she was going to her brother's wedding ceremony. They had just beaten Rias Gremory's peerage, and although they had lost a few members along the way, they had ultimately triumphed over the competition.

Showing the strength of the Phenex clan.

But at the party, they were attacked. By some political stunt from a no name clan she had never heard of. Likely looking to steal her clan's power and make them look bad.

But it would be all for naught, they would eventually triumph over their competition, just like they had done before.

But then they had unleashed that thing… No! Monster. With a bloodlust that made her skin crawl.

A Demon Fox that had seven swishing tails, that moved like a flame.

As she stared at the beast, she could barely move, as she collapsed to the ground. She crawled across the ground, not minding the dirt on the ground at her current moment.

Crawling back in fright, her back hit a hard object.

Looking up, she saw a sight that terrified her. It was a man in a blue cloak, and a white Fox mask. But the thing that terrified her was his red-piercing eyes.

She did the only thing that came naturally , she screamed.

(With Riser)

The more Riser heard, the less he was impressed, so far all of his [Pawns] had been eliminated. And there were so loud roars in the middle of the arena.

Meanwhile his peerage hadn't even taken down any of that half-blood's pieces.

That just wouldn't do.

"Yubelluna, show them the power of the House of Phoenix." Riser ordered.

His [Queen] bowed, "Yes my King."

(With Naruto)

Some people would say that Naruto was heartless.

That he felt no pain killing people.

That his morals had long since passed.

That he didn't care for anyone, and that it was the mission that mattered.

...They were wrong.

As Naruto stared at the small girl in front of him, he couldn't help but feel bad about himself.

She was absolutely terrified, and were those… tears in her eyes?

Call him chivalrous but he had never liked seeing girls cry. As a child he had a large respect for his mother, you needed to when you saw just how much of a badass she was. In his later years he had fought side by side with his peerage members, many of which were female. And they were extremely strong.

So seeing a girl so terrified, it hurt him a little.

"You know, when I sent him lose… I didn't think he would go overboard." He sighed.

As if to emphasize this another voice echoed through the arena.

"Die! Die! Die!" Kurama laughed.

"Riser one [Knight, one [Rook, retired." Grayfia announced.

Yup, his familiar was definitely going a bit overboard.

He laid a hand on the terrified girl's shoulder, to soothe her slightly, it didn't help. Ravel back away in fright.

"You know, you could just surrender." He told her, giving her an easy way out. There she would be safe in the company of her parents.

"Y-You'd le-let me do th-that?" She questioned, a little in shock as much as fright, her brother would likely not let the enemy surrender until they were the last man standing.

Naruto shrugged, "I don't really have anything against you, so why not?"

Ravel thought about it, truthfully she didn't really matter in this fight, she was just here to observe while also gaining a bit of prestige and experience. It didn't really matter if she fought in this battle.

Besides, she really didn't want to see that Fox ever again.

"All will fall to the great kitsune!" Kurama's voice echoed.

"Riser one [Knight, one [Bishop, retired." Grayfia announced.

Yup, she really didn't want to see that… monster, ever again.

"I surrender." She spoke, and almost instantly, she was taken away to the infirmary.

As she disappeared she had one request.

"Please, please don't kill my brother." Ravel cried.

As Grayfia announced, " Riser, one [Bishop, retired."

"As if I would be stupid enough to do that." Naruto sighed.

(With Yubelluna)

Yubelluna was flying high above the arena, searching for Naruto's peerage members. The search was surprisingly difficult, as there was a large fog that overtook the arena.

And Riser's [Queen] was not happy, her King's entire peerage was retired, and they hadn't even gotten a single member of the opposing peerage for their troubles.

But she wasn't going to worry, for Riser was sure to beat these peasants for interfering with his wedding. It was probably that slut Rias, who organized this entire thing to begin with.

"Hello Queen-San." Rabbit, or Haku greeted.

Surprised at the voice, Yubelluna look to where it came from, only to be left surprised.

It was a mirror.

A mirror that happened to be floating several stories above the ground. What was even stranger was the fact that there was someone in the reflection. A person in a white cloak, with a rabbit porcelain mask.

"You! You're one of the intruder's peerage members." She recognized. "Prepare to fall to Riser-Sama's might!" Yubelluna shouted, as she readied her staff.

Almost instantly, and explosion occurred on the mirror, but as the smoke cleared, the mirror was still intact.

"Your spell is far too weak to damage my Demonic Ice Mirrors." Rabbit told her, no worse for wear.

Several more ice mirrors appeared, and it was then that Yubelluna was surrounded from a 360 degree angle on all sides in a dome made of mirrors.

Each dome had the reflection of Haku, holding several senbon made of ice. "I must apologize, but I must follow the will of my master." Haku told her, as she sent several needles as Yubelluna.

And after several seconds, and several more explosions that had no effects whatsoever, the dome disappeared.

And Yubelluna crash landed out of the air, with enough needles to say she more that resembled a pin cushion.

And a Rabbit, who floated to the ground gracefully, looking as if she were just taking an evening stroll.

Yubelluna glared harshly at her opponent.

"Honestly," she sighed, " I'd thought it would've taken a lot more effort to put you down, being name the Bomb-Queen and all." Yubelluna glared even harder at the use of the nickname she hated. But with the fact that her entire body felt numb she couldn't bear to try and speak.

"I suppose I can't compare everyone to our [Queen, though." Rabbit admitted.

It was then that Yubelluna disappeared in a shower of sparkles. With her not being able to use the phenex tears riser gave her to heal herself, Haku might've gone a bit overboard with all the pressure points she had aimed for.

She would take that under consideration.

"Riser's [Queen, retired." Grayfia announced.

(With Riser)

Riser stood on the roof of the old school building.

Generating as much of his flames as he could, he began to let them all lose.

"Uzumaki! Why don't we put these charades aside and you show yourself and fight me!" He challenged, but he received no answer.

"What's that! Are you too frightened at the power of the Phenex Clan!" Riser mocked.

"Very well." Naruto spoke softly yet loudly. Ashis figure could be seen at the edge of the fog.

He struck a menacing figure, with his dark blue fur-lined cloak and white fox mask. He was also surrounded by his three peerage members, and a miniaturized Kurama at his sides.

He turned his head, "You all have worked so hard. Why don't you rest for a bit? WhileI deal with their [King]."

They all nodded, although Shark didn't reluctantly, while Kurama gave a toothy grin.

Naruto stepped forward, as Riser sent forth a large fireball. But instead of phasing through it like the last he instead chose to do something else.

The fires were being… absorbed?

No, sealed, as they were sucked up into the black flaming sword that now Naruto was holding.

(With Sirzechs.)

"Is that?" Sirzechs asked in shock, the others in the room were feeling the same.

For the sword Naruto was holding was legendary.

A legendary spectral sword, the Sakegari no Tachi, which translated to: sake cutter long-sword. But the sword was most commonly known as…

"The Sword of Totsuka." Sirzechs muttered.

The handle looked like a rather unassuming sake bottle, but it was the blade that was deadly. It was a spectral blade that could extend to seemingly any length, as it burned the color of the wielder's will.

If something we're struck with the blade, that that thing would be sealed within the gourd for all eternity. It was legend that those struck with the blade would suffer an excruciating torture for all eternity.

But how did Naruto possess such a blade? The last he heard, it was in the possession of the legendary Uchiha clan.

He leaned forward in his seat. Things were getting far more interesting.

(With Naruto)

If Naruto were 6 years younger, perhaps even 2 years younger than that, this fight would be difficult. But him having fought a multitude of battles, many of which could have cost him his very life. This battle was child's play.

Riser was predictable, he just flew around with his flaming wings and shot large fireballs, they were pretty easy to deal with.

It seemed that Riser, too, had thought the same, as he changed his strategy. He flew at him at high speeds, speeds which Naruto easily tracked, as Riser sent a punch.

Naruto holstered his blade, as he grabbed the Phoenix's flaming arm. He didn't mind the burns, as he channeled magic into his hand to lessen the damage. He threw Riser back.

"Is this the power of a Phoenix? It seems to be quite lacking… or perhaps it is just you." Naruto mocked.

And unsurprising, Riser flew at him with a flaming punch, which he sidestepped. And Riser received a low-powered Rasengan to the stomach for his troubles.

"Riser, you should surrender, you aren't going to win this battle." Naruto suggested.

Riser was quickly able to regenerate, as he took to the skies once again.

"This is our clan's gallant hellfire of the Phoenix, the firebird, the immortal bird!" Riser goaded, as he outstretched his wings, calling upon even more flames.

Under his mask, Naruto raised an eyebrow, with the magic levels Riser was now outputting… he might need to actually try right now.

Riser flew like a bullet towards Naruto's direction, while Naruto formed a Rasengan in his hand.

As they met in the middle, their clash let loose a bright light, which blocked many of the spectators from viewing the match.

Naruto channeled even more magic into his attack, he was getting to the point that he might actually mortally wound his opponent. But his opponent was a Phenex, so he could heal. He was sure he could handle the pain more than most.

Riser eventually gave in, and Naruto canceled his technique. Twisting around, Naruto showed he had been preparing a different technique entirely.

'Thunderbolt!' Naruto thought of the technique's name, as he summoned a miniature thunderstorm within the arena.

Riser was abruptly struck by a bolt of lightning, which sent him hurling across the arena onto the ground.

"Recognize the spell? Probably not, but I got it from a little birdieI know." Naruto told the downed Phoenix.

(With Akeno)

Rias stared at the technique in shock, "That's…"

"-my technique." Akeno finished.

Which caused the rest of her peerage to be surprised at what they had just seen.

Watching the game they had all been amazed at Naruto's peerage's strength, how they were easily able to defeat Riser's entire peerage with seemingly no effort. That also made them feel inadequate, at the fact that they hadn't been able to do the same without suffering severe casualties.

Rias had told her that Naruto was able to copy specific techniques, she hadn't thought he would copy her spell.

'But when? Unless… during our fight against him.' Akeno realized.

But watching Naruto do something that she could not, even with her own spell.

Was he mocking her?

Even so, her fist tightened. Turing pale from the pressures she was exerting.

(With Naruto)

"Want to know what your problem is?" Naruto asked rhetorically, "aside from the overreliance on clan abilities…You're complacent, you decided that you were strong enough and quit trying" he stated.

As Riser tried to get back up, he found it extremely difficult.

"Want to know how I got so strong? I pushed myself. I've fought in so many battles I've lost count, many of which could have cost me my life." Naruto informed.

Riser tried to speak on the matter, but he found that that had even been a challenge to him.

"Oh, you realize it now?" Naruto asked, "the spell I used on you, it wasn't to hurt you, but to paralyze you."

'H-How' Riser thought, unable to speak on the matter.

"Did you know that water is a natural conductor for electricity?" Naruto asked, "The body is made up of 90% water, which naturally makes it easy for lighting to travel throughout the body. Naturally you should know this, of course. Seeing as you're a highly educated high-class devil." Naruto informed, having a medic in your peerage you learn a thing or two about the body of supernatural creatures.

Apparently the human body and the body of a devil were actually quite similar in principles. Go figure.

"The high amounts of electricity tends for screw up your nervous system for a while. Of course, with your regenerative ability this should naturally fade away after some time." Naruto reasoned.

"I… will … defeat you." Riser ground out.

"Oh? It appears your healing abilities have fixed your ability to speak." Naruto pointed out, "it's best to just surrender." He suggested again.

Riser glared, "Fuck… You!" He told him.

"You know, I didn't want to do this," Naruto admitted, and then grabbed his holstered blade. It's black flames leaked out of the gourd, forming his blade.

"Surrender." Naruto ordered, as he positioned his blade inches from Riser's neck.

Riser glared, but as Naruto's sword neared closer. The flames started to lick his skin ever so slightly, which caused the small layer of skin to be sealed away.

But what's worse, was the fact that his skin was not healing.

Naruto had a way to circumvent his regenerative abilities! How? What?

How could this be possible? Was he going to lose?

"I-I surrender." Riser stuttered out, his voice speaking before his mind had even processed what he had said.

As he spoke those words. it was only then that he was taken to be healed.

"Riser-sama has surrendered. Naruto Uzumaki is declared the winner." Grayfia announced.

(With Sirzechs)

"To think Naruto has grown this strong at such a young age." The Lucifer muttered.

"Indeed, he might even be a contender for the strongest youth." Zeoticus agreed, but inside his mind processing what he had witnessed earlier .

'To think that he has the same power as that man, perhaps I should have a meeting with the boy.' The Clan head mused.

'I'm not even sure how strong he is, Riser was a tough opponent for any High-class devil, perhaps I should have a test to see how strong Naruto really is' Sirzechs though, as he formed his next plan.

But ironically, in the back of his head, a small, and insignificant thought crossed his mind

Perhaps he had made a deal with the devil?
