Chapter IV

If you're familiar with the earlier drafts/versions of this story, this is probably where it'll start to most obviously diverge. Especially there's a lot of difference in how all the magic is described--it doesn't work any differently in terms of worldbuilding; it's just being explained differently in how Alan is experiencing/interacting with it. Also to hopefully make it clearer what he's actually capable of. Events will also start to obviously shake up - some are remixed, some are gone, some are new. Some happen in different orders.

Also, I might share a chapter of the new story also, at the end of this month, because of how off my schedule I am now.

This is also the start of 'take a drink any time Alan is clearly really attracted to Keyd and is too heteronormatized to realize it'. Their relationship is going to progress differently than other drafts in the same way - it's not really going to change in the whole vibe, but different elements will contribute to how it evolves, meaning...a lot of new scenes. I had a lot of goals for this (final) version and the way that ALL relationships develop was a big focus.
