Walk Without Rhythm: part I

Okay, still trying to figure out Patreon's new posting system and if there's now a difference between just regular posts and 'creations' because it seems like that distinction was gotten rid of, but it doesn't matter because my Patreon is monthly anyway! It shouldn't make a difference. But I also can't link directly to a Google Drive document any longer, so the link is now right there at the top of this description.

So, this is the first half of the second one-shot story for Saul and Vaun (and I spelled his name like this in this story, rather than Vaan, since that's how it will be in the rewrites). There will be a second part, Vaun's POV, coming up pretty quick afterwards! I know I haven't put up very much content for this story like the rewrites, but that's honestly because I don't know what a lot of people here are signed up for and which stories they're interested in, so all you have to do if you're here for something specific is mention it! I'll probably work on it! Obviously a lot of this Patreon is me doing stuff for you guys, and I'm always asking for input, and I'll always listen to it!

And I got it done before the end of the month, via my timezone!

I thought he was going to propose for a second when he went down on one knee next to Saul's chair.

Teromain

Haha they're not THAT intense yet! They're not Keyd and Alan :D

Goodness you could cut the tension between Vaun and hid parents with a knife..actually it was so strong you probably would need an axe or somethibg. I love how Saul tries to be upset but in the end feels for and understands Vaun's reluctance to say anything to his family. With parents like them, who needs enemies? I definitely enjoyed this because graduation is often a turning point in people's lives that can either break up couples or make them stronger.

Teromain

Yeah Vaun is pretty much always tense like that when his dad is around. He's much better with just his mom alone, but Saul guessed right - she just has given up on objecting or protesting to the things he does and so almost can't take Vaun's side even if she wants to. Basically they're people who should never have had children in the first place (or gotten married), neither ever wanted to be a parent and neither made any sort of life change in order to actually act as one. They're not terrible people (Vaun's dad is definitely a control freak and obsessed with things appearing and being certain ways and definitely kind of an asshole but he's not the worst person in the world), just really don't know how to parent and they're both resigned to this marriage they're stuck in, which gives them an extra layer of general unhappiness and tension when they're all together. Vaun's POV will have a fair amount of focus on what graduating is going to do to their relationship, since Saul's thinking about it but it hasn't sunk in fully yet, but it has for Vaun.

Oh I'm glad we're going to hear Vaun's thoughts on what their relationship will be after graduation. I love those characters and hopewe get to hear more of their story.

Teromain

Yeah, he's definitely thinking about it a lot in his POV! He's got a lot of things to think about in his POV. :) And there is going to be a sequel to the main story, another novel-length book, but it is pretty different from the first story and these one-shots and may not be what people are expecting. Although I want to get the rewrites done before I start posting that!

After Keyd and Alan, these 2 are my favorite couples, so glad there's another story to read! Glad I don't have Vaun's folks!! On to part 2!
