Dude... they REALLY upped the ante with this movie! In every single aspect too! This movie might just be the best Toy Story ever made!

So fucking hysterical! The stakes were high as hell. The script was perfect. The conflict was insane.

I loved every second of this movie!

I personally don’t feel like 2 has more stakes than the first film. It’s better than the first in some ways definitely like its emotional premise, making better use of more characters and being funnier imo but the stakes don’t really compare for me. Buzz’ journey with the crew just feels like a chill adventure while Woody is perfectly safe in that building for most of the movie. Sid’s house felt a lot more threatening. Especially with that damn dog. Toys died and Buzz was a second away from blowing up. Buzz & Woody had better arcs too in the original I think. Buzz didn’t develop much in 2 and Woody was ping ponging all over the place with how he felt.

Unpopular opinion but I absolutely adored 4 because it was so unpredictable ! I enjoyed every minute of 4 , it was beautiful and so original , I had NO IDEA what was gonna happen next it was pure joy and adventure at every turn

I forget some of the specifics, but basically Woody was literally one of a kind, and Andy’s dad got him, somehow, after the Woody’s Round Up show was cancelled. Andy’s dad got sick, (cancer, if I remember correctly), and left Woody to Andy.

Alex, you asked about the toy market for such a collection. Woody is loosely based on the 1950s TV show “Howdy Doody.” He was big when Boomers were kids. There’s a HUGE market for those toys.
