Hey guys!

FUCKING HELLLLLLL!!!

And just like that, Season 8 of The Walking Dead is in the books! Totally LOVED this season! I think most people have it wrong when they say that Season 8 was the worst. Nahhhh. I don't buy that.

Sure, the Negan storyline went on a little long, but he was such a fantastic antagonist as well as such a treat to watch. What a fucking badass. He's easy to hate at first, and then becomes quite difficult to hate in my opinion.

I love the fact that they kept him alive. I think it would have been a lot cleaner if they killed him, but now with Maggie and Daryl and Jesus all wanting to scheme a bit and kill Negan eventually, (I think?) that makes for some super interesting conflict going forward!

So stoked to see how they handle Season 9!

That was such a fun season.

Love you guys a bunch,

Alex

Zach Fulk

Cannot wait for season 9 and 10 it my favorite

Jerry

Season 9 coming Monday would anyone like to see him react to FTWD? been wondering if he'd like it or not or be way too much zombies for the moment maybe 2027

Ae Jae

Let me guess, season 9 is the worst season due to one episode like season 8?

Praetor

Bro, he’s not ready. He is not ready for what’s coming.

Ae Jae

"In a zombie apocalypse how tf did you find blue hair dye" dye" Bro I think when it comes to looting the hair dye section is safe xD. All you need is water

So, here’s the thing many people don’t realize: this season brings an end to the longest lasting era in the Walking Dead franchise: the 2nd year. The time is a little fuzzy, but the first three seasons of the show took place during the first year, and after that it moved into the second year after the end of the world. And here’s the really incredible part: all the events of seasons 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 all happened within the span of 4 months. Yup, that’s right. From the opening of seasons 4 when Rick sees that walker with bloody eyes who died from flu at the prison gates, to the end when he’s remembering walking down the road with Carl, that entire space of time was only 4 months. The flu arc at the prison only lasted about a week, and the Governor’s arc took place at the same time and concluded at the end of that week. After that, it was about one or two weeks of all the characters separated and then meeting at Terminus. Another few days until Beth died. Three weeks travel from Georgia to Virginia, then another week or so until getting to Alexandria. Two months down. About a week and a half until the Wolves and the walker herd conflict, and that last 2 days. A month rest in between as the characters themselves say. Looking at the timeline of encounters, the whole story of the Saviors takes place over the course of about 3 weeks. Things seem like they took longer because it was stretched out over 5 seasons, and because Carl and Judith’s actors grew over that time and we the viewers are just supposed to ignore that, or assume that whatever is causing walkers to reanimate is also causing children to have more sudden grown spurts. But yes, the entire stretch of those seasons fits entirely in a 4 month period, and based on how signs of pregnancy work, you can trace Glenn and Maggie’s baby’s conception to the night before season 4 began, and when we see them in the season premier waking up in bed together, they made that baby the night before.

Ae Jae

hindsight is so crazy.

Nathan Fernandes

At the very least, theres one spinoff thats 6 episodes that i hope he watches. I know it’s not everyone’s favorite but it does provide some good closure for a couple characters.

BrandonReactions

You are now past what people consider the slow seasons

Nixyhasgoats

Season 9 is coming!!! Amazing season!!!

SeaN

The first 3 seasons of FTWD are worth watching but everything after is straight up dog shit

ShotaBoyLover

I did drop it there but nah. That episode was really well done and after coming back the rest was also good.

Ghostface

So, Dwight and Morgan are now on the FEAR THE WALKING DEAD show. But let’s be clear as a big fan, I don’t give a crap if Alex is not watching it, that’s clearly not important and the show suck after season 3. So I hope he doesn’t waste his Time with this show. But I Hope he will watch DD show and TOWL after The Walking Dead because those are pretty important ! Ps : Alex is not ready for season 9 !! ( one of the most creepy and horror season of the show I think and a pretty fucking good one )

Ghostface

No it’s trash and I’m speaking as a fan

TundraCH

This episode is peak TWD. My favorite episode of the show. You have to treat s7 and s8 as one imo. S7 is the build up. Yes, it's long, but I think it was necessary to lay the ground work. Without s7 we wouldn't get this whole character arc with Dwight. Negan growing a bond with Carl. So many things. The oppression of the group by the savior. All these things culminate by the end in a beautiful way.

Aaron Holappa

Waited so long for this, can't wait for season 9!!

TeenTyrant

I think he should watch it, not only for wider-world context, but so he can see how bad the franchise can get when handled improperly. I knew FTWD wasn’t as good as the original after S3, but I wasn’t ready to call it bad until the 2nd to last episode of S5. That episode was so phenomenally bad, I was finally ready to call something about this franchise bad, which had previously only applied to the decision to kill Carl. But at that point, an entire show was officially bad. Alex should see that, and understand that even this series can take a hit.

MSephiroth

First off: gesundheit, since you sneezed Secondly, I still think that you're seeing it correctly, Negan inside really is a good guy, and I still think that in this world, there's things that Negan is better in than Rick, like honor and keeping his word, whereas Rick has proven repeatedly that he gives his world and is just bullshitting and then cuts your throat, or shoots you in the back, like a real man... Not. Jesus being on-board with Maggie and Daryl's plan is kind of dumb and totally out-of-character for him though, not going to lie. I think it's one of THE most out-of-character things in this entire show. It goes against everything he's been saying for two seasons now. I also still think that it's understandable from Daryl, but at the same time, he's gone against Rick multiple times this season, and all of them backfired quite badly, so... As much as I like Daryl and Norman Reedus, the guy needs to get a mirror, and take some accountability for once. Can't wait to see your reaction to season 9!

MSephiroth

I would like him to react to FTWD, it's heavily overrated, and the worst character in it is totally overhyped. Madison is one of the worst characters in the entirety of the TWD universe. Played by one of the most monotone wooden actresses ever, which I don't mean to hate at all, but it's just the truth. However, for plenty of other great characters, including some familiar faces, FTWD IS very much worth it, even in the lesser later seasons, those still have some great moments and storylines, like season 6.

MSephiroth

I still think FTWD is heavily overhated. Although I will say that the supposed 'main character' is god awful, and respectfully played by one of the worst monotone actresses in the world. But there's a LOT of really good things and great characters in FTWD though, although some wasted potential like with the best character in my opinion of Alicia as well, but still.

Ghostface

I think you are absolutly right. I watch the first 3 seasons I was like god it’s really fucking good. But in this kind of show either you god until the end either you stop. And I stopped, then tried to move on and watched until season 6. Then they lost me. The episodes was a pain to watch, I lost interest. And now even the first seasons start for me become bad as hell. Even if I know it’s good at first

Ghostface

I think season 9 is the most HORROR type season. Really give chills in the back. Can’t wait to see Alex react to it, even if, you know, i think he will really love the 9 season

Tom stirrup

can we get the daniel craig era bond films?

Staineless

That's crazy, I never knew it was only 4 months from the prison to here. It's pretty wild.

TeenTyrant

I had to carefully chart it out, but yeah. One could maybe argue somewhere between 4 1/2 to 5 months if they’re being really generous, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Even if you do, that’s still just 5 months in 5 seasons and nearly 2 of those months were completely off-screen. But I’m confident in the 4 month conclusion.

TeenTyrant

I’m most interested to see what Alex thinks is the most despairing, lowest, most horrific moment in the series: The Governor’s final assault on the prison, Negan’s lineup, or… well, those who know, know.

Abuzz Klanica

why would they kill negan after one season. Alex you dont have to have new villian every season its bullsht. why villian have to die everytime its not realistic and entertaining. Dont look at season like onestory and next season next story. Watch it like there is no season just one big story

Cole Romero

Ezekiel and Jerry really becoming my fav duo ever since Rick and Michonne. Jerry just a bro and Ezekiel is just a good guy. Love them

Cole Romero

20:52 yo Rick, you might wanna point that gun AWAY from ur allies

Cole Romero

This is the second time Rick distracted someone he was killing with the thought of Carl. First Shane, now Negan. Carl was really a bright spot on everyone’s soul, and at such a young age

Brandon

Oh man I forgot exactly what happened in season 9 but a quick google search to refresh reminded me how crazy it got.

Espritlumiere

Season 9 is leagues better than 7 and 8!

Espritlumiere

Spoilers! Alex doesn't know about any of the spin offs or their names.

Ae Jae

Not really. But you're missing my point

Ae Jae

Who's that? Whats the first letter?

Ae Jae

And those are poor opinions anyway They've always been good. And im glad Alex didnt let the judgy people sway him

Ae Jae

Exactly Everyone saying they dragged this out but how tf do you have an ALL OUT WAR and make it one season? That's just a battle lol If season 7 started the way it did and ended like this in the same season it would have been laughably underwhelming

TundraCH

Weird comparison but I liken it to a band putting out a double album. How are you going to complain about getting MORE content from one of your favorite bands? 😅

maeveywavey

L is the first letter! She’s the daughter of a certain someone ;)

Nate

they already killed all the fan favorites, i honestly believe if they killed negan here nobody would watch again, it would have to be end of series type shit

Nate

incredibly cringe to add a spoiler, the names arent spoilers but straight up saying that spoiler is cringee af

Bigg C

Season 5 is peak tho

ar.activesAIDAN

I'm dying. Me and Alex both did the "together" head tilt at EXACTLY the same time, no lie. I'm dying, that was incredible LMAOOO

Kyle Rowley

Maggie screaming it isn't over is the kind of moment actors dream about. Lauren Cohen killed it.

Ella Galket

It breaks my heart everytime seeing maggie cry like that
