Hey guys!

We are officially on Season 9 of THE WALKING DEAD BABYY!!!!!

I can't believe we are already here. They really started this one off super well! I think it is such a well-done episode. They let us see how everybody is coping with the aftermath of the takeover. What the fuck are Carol and Ezekial doing?! That was quite bizarre. 😂😂

I am conflicted with how to feel about Negan being alive. The selfish side of me is excited that I get to see more of him, because I love him, but the cinephile in me thinks it may have been better for the show if they killed him off, but who knows?! Well, you guys do. I don't.

Only time will tell. One thing is for sure... I'm so fucking stoked to see what this season turns into!

I think that the difference is…Negan was a stranger, and Shane was supposed to be Rick’s best friend. The betrayal is what makes us different. Also, Shane just went full angry, Negan is more fun 😂

Negan didn't 'force' himself on women, he gave them a choice. An unfair and fucked up choice, but that's not the same as forcing yourself on them and raping them like SHane tried to do. Negan wasn't friends, let alone best friends with Rick when he tried to kill him. Negan has been honest and upfront with Rick from the get-go of what he wanted and who he is, and just like Lori, Shane lied his ass off non-stop to his supposed best friend to get what he wants. The fact you can't see the difference there is kind of fucked up and concerning

Neegan still better than Shane. Shane attempted to rape Lori, Shane killed for his own survival rather than to help others, or try to help others, Shane tried to betray Rick with lies and deceit, tried to lead him off into nowhere to stab him in the back. Neegan did some fucked up things but he never lied about any of it, he did it to Rick's face, he actually cared about other people and yeah, his way was clearly the wrong way but he was holding together a band of criminals with strict rules on not harming others without cause. Ultimately, Neegan is redeemable, Shane just wasn't.

Fair enough, that's totally understandable, so I retract my last statement and apologize if that was too harsh xD But yeah, a very important aspect to keep in mind with the comparison is that Shane was Rick's best friend, they were almost like brothers in a way, and Shane still did all of that. Negan was Rick's enemy from the get-go, and as fucked up as a lot of the things he did was, he was always honest about it. He punished actual rape. He kept his word, unlike Rick later on. So, I still personally at least think taht Negan is much better than Shane. And I will add to that, that I say that while still thinking that a part of what led Shane down that road, I blame on Lori as well with her snake whispering to both Shane and Rick and playing both sides.

Negan’s personality, humor, and story is what makes him soooo much better than Shane. I never liked Shane.

but Shane wasn't a good guy either. He tried to rape Lori, killed Otis to save himself, and was willing to murder his best friend over jealousy. Negan was worse, but "not as bad as Negan" is a pretty low bar. If Shane had survived longer and gained the kind of power Negan had, who knows how far he would've gone. One of the major themes of The Walking Dead is that Shane was already heading down a dark path very early in the apocalypse. Negan became a monster with power, but Shane was becoming one without it.
