Project Poll 38 (Patreon)

Time for a new project poll, will be doing hair for this one. I probably wouldn't have done this right now, but since I got 2 recent patron suggestions for hair, thought I might as well include those and go for it. Decent variety to pick from in this one, multi choice as always. Some stuff returning, but mostly new picks. I wanted to include two more styles, but I'll leave those for next time so as to not overwhelm with too many choices.

Poll options

1. Short/Pixie cut

Kinda cute, also reasonably easy to make compared to some of the others in here since it's short hair. I might potentially be able to even reuse some past textures to make this which would further speed things up, maybe even parts of a previous model. The front bangs are similar to the Kobeni hair I did previously so it might be a good place to start from.

2. Short sidetails

I don't actually know what to call this, reminds me a bit of the Motoko Kusanagi style from GitS now that I think about it, but I digress. In any case, has a cool videogamey look to it. I'll be mostly targeting the first image (black style on the left) in terms of look and texture, not the other one, but it will probably be a combination of those two images (at least the front part from the second image) when all is said and done. Shouldn't be too difficult to make similar to the pixie cut.

3. Tsunade hairstyle

I had twin ponytails in the previous poll, but the hairstyle itself was slightly different. I still kinda want to make a style like this so, submitting something adjacent to that. I think it's a pretty style and despite it being long, it's not too difficult to make. The symmetry helps a lot when it comes to that.

4. Low Messy Bun

Patron suggested. Now, I made a high messy bun style some time ago and while I like to think I improved a bit since then and would do better now, I would prefer not repeating it since there's some heavy similarities here. That being said, if people want it I will of course oblige.

I'm not entirely sure at the moment what this will look like, I haven't looked too much into it (there's a lot of looks and variations that can be done here with the front, overall looseness and the bun itself). I'll decide that later if this gets picked, the images above are just basic reference, not straight-up targets.

5. Lucy hairstyle

Patron suggested. Basically a simple ponytail with short bangs. This might actually be the easiest and fastest to make from here. Very straightforward style, with most of the hair flowing in a simple predictable direction thanks to the ponytail. Not a bad thing mind you, more complexity isn't necessarily better, though of course maybe not as imposing as some other picks here because of it.

6. Wavy Middle Part

Final one for this poll, resubmitting from the past poll. Gorgeous style, probably the prettiest, at least in my opinion, but also easily the most difficult/time consuming from this list. That being said, I will cut down on complexity by pulling all the hair in the front on the shoulders and leaving nothing in the back. I think the reference is like that anyways and that should at least differentiate this from past styles. For this one, I will be targeting this reference image specifically and trying to replicate it.
