Development Update and Plans (1): Rin & Kaoru, Satoshi Route, and Naomi's Re-Remake (Patreon)

Hey everyone. Thought I'd make a longer post explaining "The King of Summer" future content plans.

Rin & Kaoru

As it must already be obvious for those who've played the last few updates, my main focus will remain Rin and Kaoru for a while. The next update will contain a good chunk of scenes fleshing out their relationship with Kendo and also to each other (including their proper backstory with Takumi). I've been trying to angle things a bit differently, with the girlfriend who has already been taken away and the sister who serves as the boyfriend's last remaining support... Will she get taken away as well?

Well, yeah, but the specifics of it might have a twist. But, again, it should already be obvious to those who've been enjoying this story.

I expect their story to take another 2 or 3 updates to conclude. As was the case with Natsuki and Hanako, I want to make their final scene a proper event. Still figuring that out, since I don't want to use the same "threesome with Mary" trick as I did before.

Speaking of Mary...

Satoshi Route

 That's right folks. You thought it was abandoned? Forever discarded? It's always been on my mind, fools!

I've actually meant to start it for a while, but some work needs to be done first.

My main objective is to have different entry points to this route, and depending on the entry point, different content might be available. The first of these entry points will be right at the beginning, during Mary and Satoshi's first fight.

I intend to flesh out their conflict a little bit more, and as some of you might have noticed with some of the redone scenes, make Mary less of a dumbass and more aware of her own actions from the get-go. Same with Satoshi and Kendo, more-so Kendo, who might show a liiiiittle bit of reluctance before trying to make that brown ass his property. This would lead to a handful of mostly vanilla scenes, culminating in a generic ending.

So yeah... the NTR... might be avoidable... but at what cost...?

The next entry point has been there for a while: after the lover's retreat. There's an option there that still says "not yet available" which would lead players to Satoshi's route. But here we have a Mary who's already been enticed... will she really be able to forget about Kendo after everything's said and done? Perhaps there's an extra conclusion waiting for the pair after they go back home.

Finally, the entry point that already exists, during the swinging event. This will unlock something... "special" in Satoshi's path, and for most probably the main draw to his route.

Some form of NTR shall be present, of course!

But it won't be nearly as extensive as Arato's Route or Kendo's Route, and it's not a high priority now. But I'll keep you guys posted on it.

Finally...

Naomi's Re-Remake

Who's this? Naomi? Does that name ring a bell?

Okay, look people. I've got a confession to make. While it was good and all to add a new milf to the cast, the fact was that it got increasingly obvious that dedicating several updates to her would be detrimental to the game. I couldn't come up with a way to make her and Erina's story feel necessary. It all felt like needless padding.

So I wondered: is there a way I could make her crucial to the story?

Not as she was. So I started redesigning her, thinking of the role I had planned for her...

...and then an idea came to mind.

If she's not working, why not replace her with someone else?

Someone who has been teased, who is in fact in my plans for the very ending of the game? Someone who's scenario could also give me a an excuse to try some wilder ideas I've had?

So soon I'll introduce Naomi 3.0. The final one, hopefully.

As to how she's been teased so far, who she is and what role she'll play... well...

I'll give a very easy hint.

I will not pair her with Arato, as it might mean breaking a Patreon guideline rule.

As for those worried about losing a milf... rest assured, this one counts. Properly.
