The King of Summer - v 0.5.6-early now out for Dandy Patrons! (And above) (Patreon)

The early game finally gets a substantial change! A new scene that marks the true beginning of Mary and Kendo's cheating adventure!

So yeah, this one was a long time coming. I know everyone wants new content in the chronological sense, but rest assured, what I added this time is also brand new. Not redone animations, but a new script, a new story scene and a brand new scene to replace the former Mary x Kendo BJ scene. It won't reflect on the repeatable version of this scene until the full version comes around, though, so if you want to fully replay the beginning of the game, I advise you to wait until then.

I tried to make it so that Kendo and Mary's first foray into proper cheating felt a bit better, in a lot of ways. First, I wanted to make Satoshi's fuckup feel like a bigger deal. To do that, I wrote a very long scene in which he actually has a good date with Mary, but screws it up with an attitude that until now was only present later in the game. And now, he's given a choice (in other words you, the player is given a choice) to screw things up further and kickstart the NTR events of the game.

I thought it'd feel better if the player had a say in this, adding more gravity to the situation. I also enhanced both Mary and Kendo's attitude regarding this issue, with Mary feeling more reluctant but also growingly curious about Kendo, and Kendo showing some self-restraint until he's given a reason to stop holding back anymore.

It was a lot of fun to go back to this part of the script, and I think it's better as a result.

The only thing that's left is to make a new BJ scene that'll happen later down the line, and I'll be done with the reworks for the entirety of the game. I never intended to remake everything, only what I thought gave a weaker first impression of the product.

So you can access these new story segments more easily, I've added a "jump to chapter 1" button on Start. You can also watch the h-scene through the gallery.

By the way... Android players will need to wait a little this time. The game got too big again and I'm not sure how to shrink the Android version even more to stick under the 2 GB download limit. I'll try to figure it out, but it won't happen at least until Wednesday. Sorry about that! If you can't wait, try the Ren'Py plugin for Joiplay, it should let you play PC Renpy games on your android device.

1 new scene added to gallery in total (can be watched through gallery using the unlock button).

Some typos and small bugs fixed.
