The King of Summer - v 0.3.3-full for Patrons Out Now! (Patreon)

It's a nice feeling whenever I finish writing the last of my planned scenes, look back on my work, check out the word count and go "wow that's SO MUCH MORE than I thought it was!"

So yeah, this update is a bit loaded. Not only did I add 2 Mary h-scenes at the last minute, the two big story scenes I had planned for this release ended up being waaaaay longer than I intended them to be.

There's 2 reasons for this. First, I had a lot of free time this week that I could dedicate to the game, and I decided to go through as much material as possible so we could get to the Good Stuff quicker. And second, I finally got a good grasp of a couple of characters I'd been struggling with. I'm finally sure of the direction I want to go with Rin and Takumi, for one, and Arato ended up being very fun to write. He's a two-faced asshole who's so earnest about his desire to be The Worst Guy that I've ended up liking him a lot.

As for what's in this release, we finally learn the last bit of Kendo's backstory, which he had promised to share with Mary a few updates ago. Erina makes her comeback, and her new h-scene is actually pretty important for the plot going forward, but this is not immediately apparent. Finally, we learn a bit more about Arato as he tries to befriend the Satoshi/Mary pair by going on a double date with them and Shizuka, with less-than-pure intentions. So a lot of buildup, but this is the last of it as we approach the next Big Event.

That's about it. A loaded update, maybe the biggest one I've released in terms of number of scenes and wordcount. Hopefully it's all up to you guys standards.

...Also, there might be a lot of typos since writing fast means I had no time for editing and/or cleanup. Yes even less time than I usually have. I swear I'll one day go back and fix all of those typos.

But today won't be that day.

Oh, and I'll start adding official Android and Web/HTML versions starting from this release, for your smartphone and browser needs. They are a bit lower quality than the general release due to size issues, but hopefully it's not jarring.

Fixed Shizuka's sprites so that eye color would match.

30+ new animations/videos.

35k+ new words of dialogue and story.

New max level is 40.
