Thank you! Most of the times - I'm using a simple hard round brush but I make it a little bit oval shaped so it gives a fun brush strokes (like strands of hair) As for the background (like the three roots here) I'm using a more textured brush - any dual brush with a chalk brush effect will do! I usually play around with those to discover fun effects :)
