Hello my dear Moons 🌙

This time I'm sharing my process video of "Morning Gossips". This illustration marks the first time that I have ever used a SketchUp to help myself with perspective, which is always my biggest enemy! The amazing Devin Kurtz often uses this program and she inspired me to try it out for myself too! It's pretty easy to use and I really recommend it. At the beginning, when I'm sketching - you can see a screenshot from SketchUp under - it was a life saver with the perspective. So you'll see me use it in my future works for sure!

This piece took me many hours, not even sure how many? haha But probably somewhere around 25 for sure! But I'm really proud of this one! Hope you enjoy watching and I'm looking forward to sharing more works with you! 🥰

Love,

Toshia

that's gorgeous!🥰 I love your art, your environments always look so lifelike! do you usually work from a single photo reference, or do you blend a few together? how do you manage the lighting on your characters to make everything flow so seamlessly?

Thank you! Ahh I usually blend a few of the photos together that I find inspiring. Sometimes I take my own photos to look up for a reference but when it comes to environment I usually find inspirations on Pinterest! As for the light - I do some thumbnails and search for which color combinations I like the most or sometimes I just go with the flow haha and see where the piece will take me! I usually have in mind if I want a piece to be warm and sunny or cold and moody depending on the theme :)
