Lake side story - Anders character design (Patreon)

Hi folks!

Haku and I spent the last week+ designing the new primary character for Lake's side story, untitled as of yet, though mostly written. I wanted to capture a feeling of someone young but mature, having their shit mostly together but also spontaneous, stoic but sociable. We knew we wanted them to be a dog, but we were torn between a Bernese and a Leonberger - Haku sided with a Bernese, but looking at the final design, I couldn't be more proud of the result.

Now the design is being turned into a sprite already. It'll be a while before you hear more about the whole project, but we're working on it steadily behind the scenes.

Also - two weeks ago we put out a poll for the species for the second new character - it was a close call, but in the end the snow leopard won. That's the second character we're heading off to design soon!
