Devlog - what's coming in v0.58? (Patreon)

Hi folks!

v0.57 is out, and so begins the new release cycle. I have ambitious plans for this one - it'll be a bit longer than previous ones, giving us more time to make a more polished update packed with content beyond just the new scenes. Here's what we're working on for v0.58:

Three routes' worth of new Day 5 content - Lake, Jørgen, Guðrún are the baseline. Finishing them will allow me to circle back to Devon, Bjørn and possibly more in the next cycle already.

Expansions to existing content - some extra scenes for Rune and Devon, beyond what was there for their previous updates

Arvo & key rework - Last year, I started working on a narrowly targeted rework of the beginning of the VN, focused on Arvo's motivations around the lost key and rooming with someone else. Now, equipped with more experience and a clearer vision, I want to finish this precise and highly necessary work. The plan is: small changes that will make the whole VN more believable, and give Arvo a more active role in the story.

Something more?? - With the longer update cycle, there should be time to tackle one extra thing - our patrons will be able to choose in a poll which it'll be: a bigger update for Klaus, finally progressing his route, or the first prototype of Lake's side story, or maybe a continuation of Torulf's routes. I'm curious which one is the most important for you!

On the visual side of things, I'm still in the process of laying out the plan for this update. I'm in talks with Ghost about a new commission, Voidhound is finishing his Lake illustration, and I hope we'll get more alternative poses from Haku. Also soon, I'll post a poll on whose route needs extra illustrations the most, once I gather ideas for these. There'll be more to come!
