v0.58 - Lake, Jørgen & Guðrún (Patreon)

Hi folks!

It's finally here - after more than a month of writing, testing, pulling my hair out, litres of coffee and ADHD meds, and then a rework of nearly the whole thing anyway, v0.58 update releases today! At ~25k words, I'm pretty sure it's the biggest update we've had so far, and I'm glad I can finally show it to you.

Lake, Jørgen & Guðrún

The bulk of the update is the continuation of Lake, Jørgen and Guðrún's routes - three partially intertwined ones, three sweet beans waiting for you with their stories. There's a large ensemble scene in the middle of it too, one that you can access through these three routes for now, but later it'll be reachable through other routes too. Also, no cliffhangers this time!

I wish I already had the most important illustration for this build ready - a big platonic hug scene that begs to be illustrated - but I'll have to wait for it a few more months.

Day 1 rework

The whole thread about the key has been rewritten. Arvo feels more like a character now, the story got more believable, and Guðrún gets an earlier introduction. The rework was already included in full in the preview build, but this is the first time it's available for all patrons.

New textbox

Just a small thing, but Roborak made a custom textbox that I merged with the default one for readability. It's only available on PC and Mac at the moment.

Lake's side story

It's coming together, it's almost there - the first build of Lake's side story, called The Waves for now, is fully written and put together, almost ready to ship. I'm only waiting for Haku's UI work for it - the release is planned for next week, and then each following chapter will come out two weeks after the previous one.
