31-year-old Amanda Custer was a mother to her 8-year-old son, from Monrovia, CA. While she shared photos of herself smiling to social media, very few people knew the turmoil and abuse she was actually suffering behind the scenes at the hand of her on again-off again boyfriend, 27-year-old Robert Camou. Judges denying no contact and restraining orders, not believing victims, letting perpetrators smooth talk their way out of it make me so angry!! And it discourages victims from trying to get help. We need tougher judges and LEO when it comes to believing DV victims.
