When the Lake County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call of a reported stabbing back in March of 2021, it was bizarre even by Florida standards. At the time, the caller identified himself as “Ronnie Wells Jr.,” however, that was not his real name. When police arrived at the residence located on Lake Mack Drive in Deland, Florida, they found 77-year-old Ronal Wells Sr. dead on the front porch. Though hard to imagine, the most horrific discovery had yet to be made…and the countless mistakes made by law enforcement during their interaction with a confessed killer would inevitably put even more lives in serious danger…
