Hey everyone! 🍩

I’m happy to share Indigo Lane Chapter 2 with you. It’s the direct continuation of the story, but you’ll notice a change: I’ve decided to merge the Commander and Crom routes into a single storyline from here on out.

Why the change? 🧐 After thinking it over, having two separate routes made it really hard to balance the content. As a VN, I think it works much better as one solid story where I can focus on making every interaction count.

By unifying the paths, I can dive deeper into the things we like:

More drama, suspicion, and that "tease" typical of the genre.

The balance between romance/friendship and the struggle of good vs. evil.

The growth (or downfall) of the characters.

Don't worry, even though the path is now one, the ending will still have 3 different versions! ✨

My original goal was always to create a Harem and NTR story, and this change helps me stay true to that vision. I’m sorry if this isn't what you were expecting, but I hope you enjoy the direction the story is taking.

Oh, so its going to be more NTS than NTR now?

Not quite yet. At some point we’ll have NTS scenes, but there’s still plenty of NTR to get through before we reach that point.

Not sure on what to think of merging the two different routes. On one hand, I understand it from a matter of production efficiency that this is simply easier to work with. On the other, I have a gigantic hatred for NTR/NTS, so being able to skip the NTR/NTS Content (like with the Ren'py version) was really appreciated. I'll give it a shot, but I'm not sure if I'll keep following this.

Eh, well.. this might lead to less work but it will also lower the amount of people supporting you, after all most of us are seeking specific content, some hate NTR, some want NTR, going down the middle will not please either of these polar opposites, you can't be a girl for everything so to speak.

As a NTR enjoyer I personally love the idea that there *is* a path to a good end, then specifically being responsible for damning everyone to the bad end. That said, as I was playing through 0.5 I was sitting there going "Holy, this is so much more complex than I thought it was going to be, there is no way this is real right?" Then when Donut Byte listed out the roadmap for how long it'd take going forward I was like "Oh yeah that checks out" xD. Certainly loved where it was going, but it totally was a looooot of work I can imagine.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I actually have a very clear vision: this is a NTR project. The non-NTR route was an addition that worked technically without extra effort in the renpy version, but it serves a purpose. Those scenes are vital for developing the characters and the Commander's role. It’s not about trying to be everything for everyone, but about the story's natural progression, which will eventually shift exclusively toward NTR as it matures.
