Transcendental Warrior (Transcendent Archetype)

Sometimes one must fight to achieve their truest form of self.

Folded Prowess (Su): At 1st level, the transcendental warrior’s connection to the akashic record allows them to tap into the skills and training of the warriors whose stories are told within it, molding that connection as they see fit alongside their veils.

The transcendental warrior gains one folded combat feat. When the transcendental warrior shapes their veils for the day, they select a single combat feat they meet the prerequisites for for each of their veil loadouts for each folded combat feat they possess, assigning the chosen feat to their loadout. They can select the same feat for multiple loadouts, should they wish to. Folded combat feats can only be used to meet the prerequisites of other combat feats assigned to that same loadout, and any veils shaped as part of the loadout can be used to meet the prerequisites for combat feats assigned to that loadout.

While the transcendental warrior is utilizing a veil loadout, they gain the benefit of their combat feat assigned to that loadout. While a loadout is in reserve, they lose the benefits of all feats assigned to that loadout. If a feat with daily uses is assigned to multiple loadouts, the daily uses are shared between each loadout. If a combat feat is invested with essence and put into reserve, any essence invested in that feat is automatically uninvested. If such a feat can have essence bound to it, that essence functions as per essence bound to a folded veil when it is put in or taken out of reserve.

If the transcendental warrior is in a stance when they switch their loadout, they lose the effects of that stance. Whenever the transcendental warrior switches to a loadout that would grant them a feat which allows them to enter a stance, they may enter that stand as a free action as part of switching to that loadout (they may still only be in one stance at once).

At 2nd level, and every 4 levels thereafter, the transcendental warrior gains one additional folded combat feat.

This replaces the transcendent’s akashic treasures class feature.

Transcendental Physique (Su): At 3rd level, the transcendental warrior uses the higher of their Strength or Dexterity scores as their effective Strength and Dexterity when meeting the prerequisites for their folded combat feats that have either score as a prerequisite.

When the transcendental warrior shapes their veils for the day or switches their veil loadouts, they can choose to swap their Strength and Dexterity scores. This swap includes any permanent bonuses and penalties to those scores as well, such as bonuses granted by their race or a belt of giant strength worn for more than 24 hours. If the transcendent loses one of these bonuses (such as if they remove said belt), the score it was swapped to affect is lowered. Non-permanent bonuses and penalties are not swapped. Swapping their Strength and Dexterity using this ability persists until they choose to return their ability scores to normal as part of switching their veil loadouts or as part of shaping their veils for the day.
