New Archetypes
Fleshgiver (Promethean Archetype)
Your veils are subtler things, warping the flesh and minds of yourself and your allies to grant them new ability and new purpose.
Giver of Flesh: Rather than drawing their veils from the promethean veil list, fleshgivers treat all veils with the [title] descriptor as their veil list.
Whenever they shape a veil with the [title] descriptor using a promethean veil slot, that veil gains the [fleshwarp] descriptor. Unlike a normal title veil, these special fleshwarped titles are not suppressed when outside of Close range, and the fleshgiver can choose to shape these fleshwarped titles on themselves as well as their allies. Spell-like abilities produced by a [fleshwarp] veil are still supernatural effects, and follow the normal rules for spell-like abilities. If a [fleshwarp] veil emulates a spell effect, that effect is supernatural as well.
While a fleshwarped title is outside of Close range, the fleshgiver cannot invest or uninvest essence from it, nor can they choose to unshape it using any ability that would allow them to unshape a veil and shape another in its place. By spending an hour in meditation, they can unshape any fleshwarped titles outside of Close range and recover any essence invested in them. This meditation can be performed as part of their normal meditation to shape new veils as well.
This modifies the promethean’s veilweaving class feature.
Empowered Titles: At 4th level, the fleshgiver has learned to better alter the flesh of themselves and their allies with their fleshwarped titles. The fleshgiver can bind title veils they have shaped onto themselves or their allies to the Belt, Body, Chest, Feet, Hands, Head, Headband, Neck, Shoulders, and Wrists slots, even if they cannot normally bind veils to those slots. The fleshgiver, however, is limited in how many titles they can have bound at once; they may bind one title in this way at 4th level, and an additional title for every 4 levels thereafter.
This ability only applies to titles shaped using the fleshgiver’s promethean veil slots. Title veils shaped using other means follow the normal rules for binding veils.
Improved Forbidden Knowledge: At 3rd level, 9th, and 15th level the maximum essence capacity of the fleshgiver’s forbidden knowledge increases by 1.
This replaces the promethean’s improved essence capacity class feature.
Improved Essence Capacity: At 10th level, the essence capacity of the fleshgiver’s fleshwarped titles increased by 1.
Obsessionist (Promethean Archetype)
Obsession brings you power, your knowledge, your life. Your obsessions drive you, consuming your mind and your time. All of your research and efforts simply a step upon your climb to true fulfillment of your mad dreams.
Reduced Essence: The obsessionist gains 1 fewer point of essence at 2nd level, and every 2 levels thereafter.
This modifies the promethean’s essence pool. This ability does not conflict with other archetypes that reduce the promethean’s essence pool as long as the total reduction doesn’t cause the promethean to gain a negative amount of essence at any given level.
Twisted Body, Obsessed Mind: The obessionist’s endless drive to alter their body towards their dual obsessions has permanently twisted both their body and their mind. When determining their saving throw bonuses from promethean class levels they exchange their Reflex and Will bonuses, granting them a high progression with Reflex saves and a low progression with Will saves.
Dual Obsession: At 3rd level, the obsessionist’s mad dreams grow even more fervent, causing them to take on a second obsession. They select a second promethean obsession which they have not already selected, and treat their promethean level as 2 lower when determining when they unlock its abilities, and their level when determining the effects of those abilities.
This replaces the promethean’s forbidden knowledge gained at 3rd, 7th, 11th, 15th, and 19th level.
Sphere Promethean (Promethean Archetype)
Reduced Essence: The sphere promethean gains 1 fewer point of essence at each class level.
This modifies the promethean’s essence pool. This ability does not conflict with other archetypes that reduce the promethean’s essence pool as long as the total reduction doesn’t cause the promethean to gain a negative amount of essence at any given level.
Casting: The sphere promethean may combine spheres and talents to create magical effects. The sphere radiant is considered a Mid-Caster. (Note: All casters gain 2 bonus talents and may select a casting tradition the first time they gain the casting class feature.)
This replaces the promethean’s veilweaving and improved essence capacity class features.
Spell Pool: The sphere promethean gains a small reservoir of energy they can call on to create truly wondrous effects, called a spell pool. This pool contains a number of spell points equal to their level + their casting ability modifier (minimum: 1). This pool replenishes once per day after roughly 8 hours of rest.
Magic Talents: A sphere promethean gains 1 magic talent every time they gain a caster level. This does not stack with caster levels gained from other sources.
Veilweaver: At 1st level, the sphere promethean gains the Veilweaving sphere and the Promethean Tradition advanced talent as bonus talents and uses their class level as their caster level with the Veilweaving sphere. This stacks normally with caster levels gained from other sources. If they already have either of these talents, they may select a Veilweaving talent of their choice to replace either duplicate. The sphere promethean does not learn a veil of their choice when gaining the Veilweaving sphere in this way. If they had already learned a veil from taking the Veilweaving sphere before taking this class, they lose knowledge of that veil if that veil is not part of their Tradition.
New Forbidden Knowledge
Shaper of the Flesh (Ex)
Your veilweaving has adapted to your flesh, allowing you to conjure your akasha within your body.
When you prepare your veils for the day, you may invest and bind essence to this forbidden knowledge. For each point invested and bound, you may select a single veil you shaped that was shaped in one of the following slots: Hands, Feet, Head, Wrists, Ring, Shoulders, Blood, Headband, Neck, Belt, Chest, Body.
This veil gains the [fleshwarp] descriptor, and you treat it as if it were invested with an additional point of essence. If that veil would produce weapons or armor, they are instead produced directly from your body rather than being conjured using magic. Any enhancements applied to this veil are still considered to be magical effects. Armor produced by an [enhanced (armor)] fleshwarp veil merges with your body while polymorphed and does not provide its benefits. Spell-like abilities produced by a [fleshwarp] veil are still supernatural effects, and follow the normal rules for spell-like abilities. If a [fleshwarp] veil emulates a spell effect, that effect is supernatural as well.
A single veil cannot benefit from both this forbidden knowledge and the Enhanced Capacity feat (or from similar effects to that feat).
New Feats
Flesh-shaped Veil (Akashic)
You have learned to shape a veil by incorporating it directly with your flesh.
Prerequisites: Con 17 or veilweaver level 9th or promethean 1
Benefit: When you shape your veils for the day, you may choose one veil you shaped that belongs to one of the following chakra slots that doesn’t have the [brand] or [fleshwarp] descriptors: Hands, Feet, Head, Wrists, Ring, Shoulders, Blood, Headband, Neck, Belt, Chest, Body.
That veil gains the [fleshwarp] descriptor.
Special: You can take this feat multiple times. Each time you take it, you can apply its effects to an additional veil each time you shape your veils.
Sculpting Strike (Combat)
You can deliver your sculpting touch alongside your strikes, rather than only as a touch.
Prerequisites: Fleshsculpter obsession, sculpting touch class feature
Benefit: As a standard action, you may make a single weapon attack at your full base attack bonus. If that attack hits, the target also suffers the effects of your sculpting touch. When using your sculpting touch in this way you do not add your Intelligence modifier to its damage rolls. If your attack is a critical hit, the damage of your sculpting touch is not multiplied. A creature affected by this ability receives a saving throw against your sculpting touch, as normal. This ability cannot be combined with the conductive property or similar abilities.
Special: This ability counts as a talent with the [strike] descriptor for the purposes of feats and abilities such as Spell Attack. This ability is considered to have a caster level of 0 for caster-level based effects.
Advanced Magic
Veilweaving
Promethean’s Tradition (tradition)
Prerequisites: Caster level 5th
You gain knowledge of every veil on the promethean veil list. If you already knew veils from that list, you may choose to replace those veils with other veils of your choice.
