Dear Patrons:
Spring is springing here in the US, so it's the time for the repercussions of months of holiday and winter-fueled feasting to reveal themselves. Keep your eyes peeled, and I'm sure you'll find a fresh selection of muffintops, pasty potbellies, and double chins from too many second servings. And if you can't find enough of those things to satiate you in the wild, Mavrip has you covered!
Nowhere is that more evident than in Savanah’s Swan Song, where our once-sexy siren has become a shut-in. She's eating too much, drinking too much, and, if things keep going the way they're going, it's only a matter of time before both her figure and career are destroyed. With only 3-4 chapters left, poor Savanah doesn't have much time to right her ship and, if the half-dozen or so Magmaman illustrations I've yet to use are any indication, things don't look promising...
While the finale of Savanah's Swan Song is still a few weeks away, I've recently decided on its replacement in the programming schedule. Allow me to elucidate...
Last week, my friend and fellow weight-gain content creator, Jolene Dubois, left a comment about Melissa’s Journal, a very old story of mine. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “At your age, Maverick, aren’t all your stories old?” Well, that may be true, but that one’s even older than most. I wrote it in 2004, so, as you might expect, new comments about it are rare. So, when Jolene left hers (“I love this story and its diary format. Great work!”), I mulled it over more than I might otherwise. I’ve always enjoyed the “real-time,” first-person format in weight-gain stories. It fosters a sense of urgency and intimacy, and, as someone who sometimes struggles with multiple tenses and points of view, it’s less tedious and fussy to write. It got me wondering why I've never returned to format.
Anyway, I've decided to remedy that situation! In the upcoming days, I will debut my second attempt at the format exclusively on Patreon. Tentatively titled “Jessie’s Journal,” it tells the story of a gravitationally challenged teen and the trials and tribulations she suffers at the hands of her troublesome (and oh-so-sexy) older sister. It isn’t a novel concept, but the journal format will give us plenty of behind-the-scenes glimpses at the gears that ultimately turn those junk-food-filled tables.
Elsewhere, Shalma's weight keeps creeping higher in Shalma's Destruction. It won't be long before the battle-ready barbarian isn't quite so battle-ready. And, as always, you'll have a say in how everything goes down (as her weight goes up)! We're also working on our next installment of Chewing the Fat (previewed here.)
So, as you can see, a lot is going on...none of which would be possible without your generous patronage! Thank you!Maverick
