Also some behind the scenes stuff. Not long ago I started working Zbrush and Sketchup into my workflow, both for creating backgrounds as well as mannequins to help with complex compositions, poses, keeping size diff and other stuff consistent, etc. etc. The janky character mannequins were made using Zspheres in Zbrush and very crudely turned into a raw .obj file. The loss prevention office is based off of a uhh indie video series, but is made up entirely of royalty-free assets I grabbed off 3DWarehouse (free btw) and put together in Sketchup (not free) and rendered in Enscape (very not free). Then lots of manual rendering and tweaking of both the bg and characters to get the lighting and everything to fit nicely...

I would love if you could do a tutorial on how to do stuff like this!

Oh, I also straight up buy pre-made 3D environments off of Acon3D sometimes (a Korean site that sells lots of useful stuff for manhwa artists, mostly). Next time I have to create or work with a new scene and set up my mannequins and stuff, I'll try and document that process a bit more and share what'll hopefully be useful

That would be amazing! I want to try my hand at a comic again, and background consistency is a really big struggle I have

sirocistan

it's a huge help if you have to draw the same environments, rooms or buildings from multiple angles across multiple pages. But at the same time, ppl are NOT scrutinizing your background work in a porn comic. On the other other hand, ppl DO notice when a bg is good tho, so

I love getting an insight into your workflow! I am no artist, but this is still super interesting to me.

That would be big if you are going into 3D art. I’m buying a ms otter figure😆

I would pay money to see the ZSculpt models of Frank and Brooke as a huge sculpt in a modern art museum, folks trying to find any way to avoid outright saying it's a buff capy dude eating out a ferret gal lol

How much was sketchup, I would love to start using it to assist with my backgrounds

$10 a month if billed annually I think but there's also a free trial
