Sorry for the long yap, but I thought I’d properly elaborate on Kai here: Manga-wise DBZ is three main big arcs. For whatever reason, the initial Kai release only covered the first two. For those, it trimmed the episodes so that they are very close to the manga. I don’t remember anymore if Z’s pacing was as bad as the OG show’s, because I only watch Kai nowadays. My guess is, yes, but I’m glad you asked anyway. Maybe someone who actually watched Z fully can chime in on YouTube.
