Well I hope people enjoy the long ass 5 minute stare downs like the one at the start of this episode, because it seems we’ll be getting more of that. Look don’t get me wrong, I like the original Z dub, but staredowns and time stalling bother me a lot for whatever reason

Sean Schemmel (adult Goku’s VA) is a fucking beast. He’s a classically trained musician, so he puts actual technique and control behind his screams. Too many scenes wouldn’t hit the same if it weren’t for his performances

The silver lining in Z is that at least the extensions sometimes meaningfully enhance the fights, so at least you get something out of it. I still don’t think it’s a fair trade for the amount of padding but whatever
