Oh this is an alternative universe?

Ugh, I love that Levi is full on nerd 🤓!! These 2 have the potential to be some of the most popular characters in the genre, possibly even beyond. The 2 of them will rub off on each other, making Dachi a bit like Levi and vice versa. That's usually what happens when you find the one you love, I think 🤔. I've only been told this as of my 43yrs I've been in love a total of 0 times.

The way you use the Dachi's ears to show how he's feeling is great! Dachi's dialogue feels right at home with his personality in SWL: sorta does whatever he feels like, but is really nice about it?? Lol!

You know it's saying something that Dachi recognizes Levi for the math comp. Most students wouldn't care about remembering such a thing much less the person that earned it. But the way you do body language (with Dachi's arms crossed for example) in showing mood is great as always.

DaMu

More likely Dachi just learned of Levi in the math comp from the librarian in the previous page. We don't know yet if he was actually there or heard about it from somewhere else out of his own interest.

This bout to be my new obsession

Also makes sense contextually! It'd be interesting that Dachi was just naturally observative too.

I still see more than a little Bill Watterson in your works. Not sure if you were a CalviN and HObbEs fan back in the day or currently, if not then the similarity is even more intriguing

I'm so eager to see more!!

I just realized why this struck me so intensely¡!!¡! I placed 3rd in a 'Skills' competition back when I was in grade 10!!! It was a written 'Automotive skills competition' test for grade 10 and grade 11 students across the province. My teacher convinced me to take the gr11 test instead of the one for my current grade, gr10 instead. To which I agreed and hated that I 'only' placed 3rd, as i could've for sure placed 1st if I'd taken the other one. But, i was the only one to ever take the test a grade above my level and place in the top 3, a fact that still stands currently 😉. Unfortunately, it made it so I couldn't take the gr11 test again when I was in gr11 the following year, so that sucked. What I'm trying to say, is I understand how Levi feels here. Btw, the guy who placed 4th in that competitions name? LEVI!!!
