Early January news (Patreon)

Happy New Year! 2024 is now in the past. I wish everyone who has been following me and supporting me, financially or not, a year of prosperity with the ability to go through any hardship that may or may not come this year. Even when the the year has changed, here is the usual early monthly news.

40 - December Reward: January 4th!

I will share the reward on Saturday, January 4th. Based on your tier in December, you will receive the following:

If you were an A la Carte patron and would like to get the Combo Meal/Combo Meal+ reward, you'll be able to use your code later with a little extra fee from the difference. The link and the code should be in your DM when it's ready!

If you were a combo meal patron and would like to get the Combo meal+ reward, the same condition also applies.

If you're a new patron (January 2025 or afterward), you are not able to receive the December reward (FGO Lancelot) and you will receive January reward instead.

41 - January Reward Poll Result

We ended the poll with a tie between two ideas! Since this is for a comic and it's also going to be an original reward, it's going to take more commitment and extra work, and I'd like to know which one you like more to have. Therefore, on cases where original ideas OR comic reward poll result in a tie, I will make a tiebreaker poll for it in the following month.

Here's more information for my idea on the reward based on the two themes.

42 - February Theme: Valentine!

Valentine is coming in a month, which means it's another good reason to have another couple for reward! Please suggest characters OR pairings that you would like to have for next month's reward! On the case if a character is picked (new or old suggestion), I will pick one character from the series to be made for the partner based on my personal preference.

Please put in your suggestions by January 15th to be included in the poll the following day!

Suggestions for patreon reward is eligible for Combo Meal patrons. If you're a Combo Meal patron, you can find the Suggestion post by looking at the #SUGGESTION tag or clicking the link here. If you have other character suggestions for future rewards even out of the theme for the next month's reward, please add them in nevertheless!

Commission returns on January 4th!

I will open my commission form again on January 4th. I will be opening 3-5 commission slots this time. If you're interested in taking a slot, please prepare your references in an online doc or drive folder, make sure it's accessible (anyone with the link can view it), and fill in the form once it's open!

kimakkun's 2025 Plans

I'd like to state my plans for 2025 be it on Patreon or outside of Patreon.

1. Plan for 2025 Patreon Reward

For Patreon reward, I've made a general guideline on what the reward will be. Here's what the plan is and what it entails.

Every blue month, the reward will be specifically for original comic.

Every purple month, I will add at least one original idea as an option and if the original idea wins, it will be turned into a comic.

Every red month, the reward will be specifically for fan works. Every reward will be CG Art pack unless stated otherwise.

The theme for Themed CG Art will be revealed in the early news of the month before (For example, April theme will be revealed in March's Early News post)

Series Mini Pack will be short CG packs of different characters of a certain series. Higher tier will receive more character(s).I will provide some series to be picked in a poll the month before for the first half of the month for Combo Meal patrons and then open a different poll by providing some characters of the selected series for all patrons to select from.Example: Reward 30 (Granblue Fantasy Relink Pack)

This year's plan is subject to change depending on the situation.

I will also have this plan posted on a separate post to make it easier to find.

2. Better Post Tags on Patreon

Other plans for Patreon in 2025 will be to properly tag posts based on the character and the series. The posts that will be tagged will be of the following:

WIP/Sketch for Patreon reward

Preview for Patreon reward

Bonus works (sketch, collaboration works, commission results, others)

Note that this is only for posts that have been posted on Patreon and future posts of the same category. Patreon reward will still not be posted here to prevent leak (which is already happening to begin with). If you've supported me before and you've been using the same email address when you redeem your code, you should have a library of your rewards to begin with.

This will be a slow process, and I will do it in my free time, at least starting in February, so please don't rush me!

3. 2025 Plans outside of Patreon

Here are my plans outside of Patreon about Bluesky, real life event participation, and commission.

While it's not there yet, I'm not too far off from reaching 5K followers, so for starters, I will be opening a raffle once I hit that number. If you haven't done so, please follow me there too!

I'm going to participate in Comic Frontier up to twice this year although I can't guarantee being able to be there physically. The first event will be in May 2025 in which I will not be there physically, but I will have some of my stuffs there. The second event is most likely going to happen in the fourth quarter of 2025.

If you'd like some printed works, be sure to be there! I'll share more information about the event later when I have more to share!

Related to the previous point, I will not be opening commissions on some months, mostly for the preparation of the event. Based on the current schedule, I will have my commissions closed in March 2025 and possibly in August or September. I will also be unavailable for commission if I decide to attend the event physically in the one in last quarter of 2025 (if there's going to be any). My availability for commission is subject to changeOther than that, I will be raising my pricing after this month's batch. This includes the base price of all commissions, and I might even remove some commission options. I will share more information about this in the commission form once I've decided the right amount for it in the future. I will, however, keep some bonuses or discounts on certain scenarios although I might change the amount.
