I am having a moment of realization right now.

Why did no one warn me that K-Pop girl groups are this chaotic, this affectionate, and this dangerously fruity??

The looks. The touching. The suspiciously intense “bestie” energy. The moments that make you pause the video and say hold on…

I genuinely feel like I have been missing out this entire time because the gay level here is absolutely off the charts and I am not emotionally prepared.

Am I spiraling? Yes.Will I continue investigating? Also yes.

Let’s talk:💬 Which K-Pop girl group moments took you OUT?💬 Who should I watch next??💬 Are we calling this fan service… or faen service?? 😌

Welcome to the spiral.

for Dreamcatcher (the girls dancing troublemaker), YES they are aware they have a largely gay/lesbian following, therefore they tend to do fan-service appealing to them on-stage. The girls have always been very supportive of the LGBTQ+ community since they've debuted, and their comfortable dynamics with each other has led to the group gaining a large and LOYAL queer following. They're not necessarily a "popular" k-pop group domestically but they definitely have an audience internationally. If you're into rock music, definitely check their songs out, and don't be surprised to see more of them in future Kpop lesbian compilations. ESPECIALLY Sua and Siyeon (SuaYeon) which were the 2 women that kissed during the Pocky game.

in terms of the troublemaker dance as well, aside from some minor changes, the girls were just dancing the original dance to the song which was originally between a man and a woman.

Brianna

you should react to le sserafim funniest moments they are funny asf and they are all beautiful and amazing

Beatriz Villegas

All I gotta say is that you should react to Dreamcatcher and Mamamoo gay moments

GLadlyASH

I've definitely seen some of their dances that surprised the hell out of me. They get crazy sometimes. I remember seeing a vid (no idea who they were) where one girl was practically giving the other a lap dance HAHA. Please friends... send sexy kpop dance videos my way :) lol

James Seo

so the girls dancing at 8:28 are Jiu (black hair) and Handong (blonde hair). Theyre members of the girl group Dreamcatcher. Jiu is the leader, lead vocalist and Handong is one of the lead vocalists. Theyre dancing to the song Troublemaker (i think I remember seeing a video where Mable and Pangjie dancing to this song as well) which is originally sung by a duo comprised of a male and female idol (Junhyung and Hyuna) . also Handong's parents were in the audience, i believe, watching this performance. haha The clip with the pocky stick as well as the video where you hear the girl behind the camera saying "Yes, baby, yes" are also clips of Dreamcatcher. Those two are between Sua and Siyeon. Sua is the one who accidentally bit Siyeon's lip in the pocky clip. Sua is also the main dancer and also creates the choreography for some of their songs, was a lead rapper but has since transitioned to a more vocalist role. Siyeon is the main vocalist and also recently, is now the vocalist and the face of the rock band ChRocktikal Sua is currently part of the subunit UAU with members: Jiu and Yoohyeon (who you havent really seen yet as the subject for any ,of the clips you've watched at this point). I'm surprised there werent any more clips of Mamamoo. lol. but if you'd like to know more about Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher, let me know. I can direct you to some good clips of the groups or guides that are really helpful Oh man, haha. i didnt see Sharlene's comment earlier but you can read mine as well for some extra extra context

GlSpiral

OHHH Wow I mean honestly that makes it even better that they didn't bother to change it.

GlSpiral

Ohhh can't wait to discover more and see who I vibe with, I need to start listening to some of the music too, it will be fun to hear them.

GlSpiral

Don't have to tell me twice lol!

GlSpiral

YES PLEASE LOL!! I will asap! I currently have lost my voice but when its back you know I will lol!

GlSpiral

Hahaha yes I love some sexy girls dancing together not in a creepy way lol! As I type it, I know it sounds hella creepy, whoops. I guess my gay is showing again.

GlSpiral

Haha I read them both and you both did an excellent job explaining so thanks so much it's cool getting the context for some of these clips. Honestly everything is so unhinged it's hard to process it but I am living for it.

James Seo

haha. understandable. its a lot to process. im glad youre enjoying yourself with watching the kpop girl groups just have almost no filter in their interactions.

Yes Dreamcatcher! My ult group! I love their music and they also do so many covers it’s amazing. When they cover songs, they sometimes add a little twist to the music, but they never change or switch the pronouns in the lyrics and I love that for them. Also Siyeon my ult bias is going on tour through the US with Chrocktikal and I really want to get tickets to go see them. But it’s in Oakland at night and I don’t know if I am comfortable being out alone at night because there be crazy people.

babii_216

Yeah, I'll definitely make a video of Irene and Seulgi for you, haha. I always say they're my comfort couple. Girl groups have a lot of that, because they generally know each other for a long time and spend a lot of time together, from pre-debut (training time) until after their debut. Irene and Seulgi, for example, have known each other for over 10 years, if I'm not mistaken, so the fan service in girl groups is really good, sometimes it's not even fan service, lol. One question: if I make a video specifically for you about Irene and Seulgi, should I just send you the link here in the comments?

it sucks because thats usually where they always seem to perform. its usually in the east bay like oakland or berkeley. but i think its because the venues there are slightly nicer. like ive been to paramount theatre multiple times for dreamcatcher, BIBI, and Taemin. I think i was also one of the few guys at the taemin concert because my friend had tickets and i basically got to go for free. but the amount of thirst in the audience was unreal. lol. aits a shame when dreamcatcher is only able to book spots like The Midway in SF which is not that great of a venue., in my opinion i kinda wish more kpop groups would perform at places like the Palace of Fine Arts. its a lovely theatre and thats where ARTMS and Wheein performed. I got to see them perform live in that theatre and it was amazing. im thinkiing about going to that concert as well. and im also waiting for MAMAMOO's anticipated tour as well. i get nervous going into oakland for kpop concerts too and i usuaully end up going to those alone because no one near me really likes the groups i like so i dont really have anyone to go with. i tend to gravitate towards the crowd after the show. that way so im not the last person at the edge of a group of people. the good thing is that paramount which is where most of the concerts ive been to are at, is really close to the bart station

GlSpiral

Can you private message me, or do in through the group chat. Omg can't wait to watch if you end up being able to. I have been MISSING out lol!
