We're finally at the end of My Safe Zone! 🎉

Was this series life-changing? No. Did I still have a genuinely good time watching it? Absolutely.

This show had its ups and downs, but what kept me coming back every week was LenaMiu. Their chemistry is genuinely peak entertainment for me and they managed to make even the smallest moments fun to watch. ❤️

In this finale, we're wrapping up all the drama, relationships, and chaos while I give my overall thoughts on the series as a whole. Let's talk about what worked, what didn't, and whether this ending delivered!

I love Jane talking to Tim in this episode. "You dont have to give up. You were never Lin's competition" as in.... Bro you were never even in the game lol. These GL guys can never take a hint i swear. And she literally spelled it out for him multiple times. GIRL.... the wedding photos bug the shit out of me too lol. They do it in every GL wedding, its so stupid. Yall have a million photos of these girls together... pick something not weird please. Ohhh if i remember right, that little butterfly necklace was an actual gift between them and they just used it in the show :) So cute! Im super excited and equally scared for Pls Love, Excited because its LM but scared because its CH3. There's a lot of spice and dark themes in that story and Im afraid CH3 will gloss over a lot of it. But we shall see.

I agree with you about the pictures at the end. Yes, it helps remind viewers of the romantic scenes but yeah there is no logic as to how the photos were taken.

As to LenaMui next series, neither Lena nor Mui's role is as a play girl. I won't say anything else otherwise it will be a spoiler.

For me I dont need shows with 10+ Episodes. Heart Code and Love Beyond Dreams are the best examples that even with 7 Episodes you can do Masterpieces. The longer a show is the more time there is to do something wrong or too much. You just need a good Script, good Acting and good Chemistry and then you can deliver with 7 or 8 Episodes. But I understand your Point, many shows would have needed more time. But it is possible with less time too

I totally get what you are saying, I have not finished either of these shows yet so I will be able to give my opinion on that when I am done, I just know every other 8 episode show I have watched has just felt unfinished in a way, or too rushed.

YESSSSS WE NEED TO PITCH THIS!! These girls have a million photos together pick one of them. Janes speech to Tim had me laughing she was just like Tim you ain't nothin you never have been, get over it lol! Omg yes I think I head about that on a live so so cute! Love the necklace. I am so so scared about what they will do I don't know a lot about it but the stuff I do know sees impossible that they will put it in so I am scared.

I agree with you - it’s one of my pet peeves too, where they clearly use screen caps for the wedding / proposal scenes instead of genuine photos and it looks so bad and unrealistic, it takes me out of the storyline. They might as well include the scene or Q numbers on the photos 😅😮‍💨. The ending scenes were probably amongst the weakest of the whole series, and didn’t really leave a very satisfying feeling (at least for me), the script, and dialogue all felt a bit disjointed and strange / unrealistic. You were saying the same things I was thinking in my head. That wardrobe as well - why don’t they dress the actors in a more realistic outfit for the scene 🤦‍♀️. Not specific to this GL, like the photos thing, it seems to be a common error in many GL series. It was definitely their chemistry (and acting for the most part) that kept me glued to each episode when all of the other flaws would pop up and make me sigh. As cute as they are, they deserved better screenwriters and set design. Maybe it was a budget issue, it did feel very insular as a series, they didn’t go to many locations or have many people on screen at any one time, it was practically a cast of four most of the time, extending to 8 or 9 at most for brief periods. Well, I hope their next series, now they have more popularity, will get a bigger budget and tighter writing.

I also think although it’s possible to do a good show in 8 episodes (or less), though those GL’s I’ve seen that did this well, and did the best they could to cram in storyline efficiently and keep a thriller level of excitement and pacing each episode still felt too rushed, where they had to make a lot of cuts, and some scenes lost the impact or were missing context, and often the ending is incredibly short for all of the tension and build-up to that point, so I’m much happier if they make it a longer series, even if comes at the risk of them slowing the storyline down too much and making it boring, as some series don’t need to be that long and feel unnecessarily stretched (like where they add really blatant cut scenes of product placement 😅🤣).

Since it takes so long to record because of your schedules, can you record at least 2 episodes and you can then spread out the release of them...Just a thought. Especially since the series is just 7 eps.

About the necklace, didn't Mui give Lena one too and Lena temporarily lost it? Or did I just make that up 😂?

I don't think she lost it but I remember the live where she forgot about it and didn't know what Miu was talking about for a minute and Miu was mad 😅
