besties… JAY AND KEY HAVE MY RESPECT. 😭👏

Episode 4 of Moonshadow gave me an even bigger appreciation for these two because I genuinely LOVE the relationship they have.

They're friends.

They're rivals.

They're competitive as hell.

But underneath all of that, there is this genuine respect between them that I absolutely adore. 💖

THAT is how you do a friendship/rivalry dynamic.

Neither one needs to tear the other woman down to prove herself, and there's something so refreshing about watching two strong women compete while still clearly caring about and respecting each other.

Honestly, their dynamic might be becoming one of my favorite parts of this entire series.

BUT THEN...

EMI.

Girl.

Sweetheart.

DO YOU HAVE AMNESIA?! 😭💀

Because I swear there were moments in this episode where I was sitting there wondering if this woman had simply FORGOTTEN everything that had happened previously. 😂

I HAVE QUESTIONS.

And considering Moonshadow has already given us strict sugar baby rules, Bonnie suddenly developing enough rizz to destroy me, Film walking around looking like a femme fatale, and EmiBonnie chemistry that may genuinely kill me before the finale...

Apparently possible memory loss is just another thing we're adding to the list. 💀

Four episodes in and Moonshadow has me completely invested. The characters are getting more interesting, the relationships have layers, and I LOVE that Jay and Key's rivalry isn't being reduced to two women simply hating each other.

Also...

EMIBONNIE.

The chemistry continues to chemistry. 🔥😭

I'm scared of what these two are going to do to me before this series is over.

chan not remembering key confirmed to me that she truly didn't gaf about anyone or anything happening in the world other than her relationship with jay at the time and honestly i gotta respect that🤣 i mean look at jay

With Emi’s memory, I was thinking on it and for me personally I was in a relationship with someone for 7 years right? I think it’s been like 4yrs since I think? And like honestly I can’t even remember their face, or anyone that I met in their family or their friends. That’s how weird memory can be. In saying that, chan comes from an affluent family herself so mansions are probably common place, chan was driving most the time so wouldn’t have had that much of a good look at her face, they only met once, chan was building a life for herself, chan was in a relationship with Jay, that night Chan was out was doing something romantic for Jay and was focused on other things, chan was also on the phone to Jay for some of that, chan had a traumatic breakup and probably suppressed some of the memories from that time period. Also, if key was 15 or 16 at the time, I’m guessing it’s been atleast 4-6 years minimum since that day. It’s significant to us because we are seeing it from Key’s perspective and seeing how she remembers it, but if we were to see what chan remembers from it, it’s probably all a blur, that’s a whole bunch of years to interact with so many people that Key’s face is naturally gonna be a blurr, ESPECIALLY after only meeting someone once, also key was a kid, so it might not have stuck in Chan’s mind when she had a grown ass woman she was in love with to the point of marrying her waiting for her back in the states. Our brains are amazing at forgetting faces. I don’t think Chan doesn’t or didn’t give a crap about it, it just wasn’t a monumental moment for her and she had other shit goin on that was VERY monumental and life altering in that time period

It’s actually very easy to forget a one time interaction that lost its significance over time. Just cause it’s a core memory for Key doesn’t mean it’s a core memory for Chan

Sorry to bust your bobble darling but her forgetting Bonnie's character is easier than you think. Her head being filled with what happened between Jay and herself takes precedence over a one-time meeting with a teen and also, I think Emi was probably in Uni, based on the timeline shown earlier in the series.

BRUH that shit was creepy! Sounded like a weird demon or something lol. Also I think it took you longer to skip through the intro than it would to just let it play haha. Not your day my friend! Ohhhhh, gotta add karaoke to the list of things to do while im there now hehe. Man Jay has the absolute WORST timing! Its like she just has a sense that Chan and Key are doing something. Its creepy lol. Im also concerned that Chan does not remember Key though. Its not like she changed her name, her face is the same, and she got the tattoo. In the novel they first met when they were literal children, so that made more sense. All i can think is that Chan was just so wrapped up in Jay that she doesnt remember anyone else. But Idk, i dont pick up many strangers on the side of the road so i think id remember lol. Meanwhile Key remembered every tiny little detail, down to the little cat figurine on the dash. OMG i didnt even think about the fact that meeting Chan and then finding her mom like that all couldve happened in the same night. Thats so fucked. Im def curious to see where this story goes though cause we're not even halfway through yet.

YES SHOULD HAVE JUST STUCK TO WATCHING IT LOL!! Also yes we need to do some karaoke. I AGREE it's like she has a six sense and can tell when anything remotely fun is happening lol! I am so curious how everything went down and to dig even deeper because this series is crazy.

I mean yeah you are probably right there, just seems so implausible to me that I would forget someone who literally said the same day they met me they would get a moon tattoo and then a girl shows up with someone saying that I saved her life I feel like I would put two and two together.

Yes very true, the only moment that I feel like would be hard to forget is when said teen told me they would get a tattoo of my name, I just feel like that would stick with me, not necessarily a good way lol!

i love that we can see chan worrying about key a little in the mrning
