besties… THIS EPISODE PLAYED WITH MY EMOTIONS. 😭😂

Episode 8 of Denied Love had me going UP. DOWN. UP. DOWN. I swear my emotional state changed every five minutes.

And THEN we finally got to the end and I was sitting there SO HAPPY. 🥹💖

Like YES.

FINALLY.

After weeks of wanting to physically reach through my screen and SHAKE RIN…

After watching that icy little heart thaw approximately ONE MILLIMETER PER EPISODE…

After Khem has been out here putting in the WORK…

I thought we were finally getting somewhere! 😭👏

I was happy.I was peaceful.I was SATISFIED.

And then...

THE FUCKING TEASER PLAYED. 😐

EXCUSE ME?!

All of that happiness disappeared in approximately THREE SECONDS.

Suddenly I'm angry.

I'm stressed.

I'm suspicious.

And I have entered a full-blown DOWNWARD ANGRY SPIRAL. 💀🔥

WHY WOULD YOU SHOW ME THAT AND THEN EXPECT ME TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK?!

I am absolutely CHOMPING AT THE BIT for Episode 9 because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.

Denied Love continues to have an absolutely ridiculous hold on me. I started this series thinking it was cute, hot and funny...

And now I'm emotionally invested in these women like their relationship somehow affects my credit score. 😭😂

RIN AND KHEM, I AM BEGGING YOU.

I wish they had a better script for that side couple - they basically kept repeating the same confession to each other about 4 times, and yeah, I thought he was playing a gay character too, and some of the translations (‘I thought you didn’t like men’ - I assume they were trying to say ‘I thought you only liked other men’, i.e. ‘I thought you weren’t interested in me’)🤦‍♀️.

We just got peak sweet Rin, now it’s cruel Rin’s turn 😭. At least we know it has a happy ending eventually. Also, it’s funny that we consider 44 mins too short now when that used to be roughly how long an hour long episode on TV was when you add in the adverts/commercials. We are now used to 1hr plus GLs with no ads. The golden era 🤣. P.S. I didn’t realise you tried to watch My Only Sunshine, it definitely had its flaws including some ridiculous scenes although I think the most cardinal error they made was end of ep 4 having one of the main characters force herself on the other, and what sort of message that sends/represents, when we are supposed to be rooting for them to be together in the end, and that person is not meant to be the villain character. The only positive from a show/storytelling perspective, is that we probably got the strongest acting from Mer, playing Sun, in the scenes following that event but I was incredibly frustrated that they wrapped up the reconciliation way too quickly with Atom’s character being forgiven after her confession of love towards Sun later on, even if that’s what Sun had originally been yearning for, for years. As I follow them I was willing to watch until the end and it wasn’t all bad, but I wish they had done a better job, in the same way LingOrm shippers probably bemoan Only You for its flaws when they know the actors could have done so much better if they had more to work with, than a bad script and many sub optimal choices for scenes, in terms of their execution. Grumble, grumble, grumble 😤😭😮‍💨🤣

I always thought the side couple identified as lesbian/queer and non-binary or even trans? But I thought non-binary suited them better. Either way they liked each other. So, even though the show was clumsy about it, I do appreciate their attempt of showing other kinds of queer couples.

Did you know Fire rated the best out of the four series, followed by Earth, Air and Water. Surprising?? You should really give the last episode a go Kelly as it pulls everything together.

I just watched ep 7 and honest it was definitely the best episode of the series yet, where is it the best rated? I know it is the highest watched but I do think that the lead in from Air did a good job of that and I think that the couple has many fans even though I did not know who they were. I can understand why many people like it, I just do not personally love it. That being said it's still an enjoyable watch.

I agree which is why I was left a bit confused. I mean translation could have been off or they could be non-binary or trans I have no idea at this point but just felt strange the way they handled them.

GOD!! I am so so scared for mean Rin because I do think I will definitely be pissed for the majority of it, the one thing I can't stand is when someone treats a character like their disposable and walks all over them only for that character to just accept it willingly with no fight. We shall see how it progresses though. Honestly My Only Sunshine lost me with episode 4 I tried to watch how they handled it but honestly after seeing episode 5 I was definitely done. I would love to see the girls act in another series as I do think they are talented it was just that one rubbed me completely the wrong way.

Yes, that’s one of my pet-peeves too, when one of the characters behaves too meekly towards the other instead of standing up for themselves. In some ways it’s unrealistic but in others, I guess there are people out there in those relationships, and maybe some of the time its due to them being so in love with the other person, they are blind to their flaws. I guess it’s very dependent on the circumstances of each couple though.
