Ah, I remember now! These kids are Nizka, Ashley, Nisa, and Maks from Cassiopeia Quinn! Normally, they're off in the spacey future, but now they're down in a fantasy kingdom dressed like peasants. Maybe it's one of those Star Ocean dealies where you think you're getting a sci-fi space adventure and then you crash on a primitive planet that looks like a fantasy RPG and you just stay there forever and young Daniel gets mad.
