Saffron and Sage, page 98 inked (the big reveal!) (Patreon)

Prince Faunus revealed, at last! Props to Gunwild of the Cassiopeia Quinn team, who actually called that Faunus was, in fact, one of the sun deer things. 

I mean, granted, his name is literally Faunus, so maybe this wasn't too hard to guess. But still! He was the only one who did and he wins the no-prize this month. 

The last two lines are Saffron narrating, which might not be obvious in black-and-white (especially since she's using the present tense, whoops, that'll be fixed in the final version).

While the basics of Faunus was planned out in advance, a big chunk of his relationship with Saffron was redone fairly late in the game (as I was writing this page, in fact). He was originally intended to just be a retread of Riley from Legend of the Hare, and kind of a villainous character that Saffron would eventually realize sucked and punch in the snout like Jill did Riley, but pretty much at the last minute I decided to rework it for reasons I best not get into now lest I accidentally spoil
