First things first: thank you. 🙏 This update took a while, and I really appreciate your patience. House of Desires is a one-person project, so every release means a lot of late nights — and honestly, it's your support and feedback that keep me going. I hope you enjoy what I've put together for you. Here's everything that's new.

HEADLINE: The Staffing Agency — hire your dream team

Your girls are the stars, but a great house needs a great crew. v0.5 introduces a living staff job market with 6 roles to hire:

- 🍸 Barmaid — boosts your Bar's nightly income + lets you boost the whole team

- 🥊 Bouncer — fewer incidents, and acts as a content filter: turn away the clients you don't want to see (toggle off BBC, Gangbang, Lesbian or Threesome). Your house, your rules.

- 🎧 DJ — daily mood boost for the whole team + ambient music

- 📷 Photographer — automatically shoots your girls every day

- 👵 House Mother — keeps team morale up and auto-protects girls from burnout

- 🏋️ Coach — manages your girls' progression: auto level-ups, Gym training and skill growth, so your roster keeps improving on its own

Every candidate is procedurally generated with a star rating, signature tags (Party girl, Ex-boxer, Yoga teacher, Frugal, Demanding…), and a salary that matches their worth. The market shifts every single day — new faces arrive, others leave. Hunt for hidden gems: a cheap 2★ with two great tags can outperform a pricey 4★. Free daily refresh, or reroll a single post on demand.

Staff unlock through the rooms you own — buy the Bar to hire a Barmaid, the Security room for a Bouncer, the Gym for a Coach, the Photo Studio for a Photographer. Build the room, then bring in the right person for it.

And who knows… with some of them, you might be able to take things a little further than a simple working relationship. 😏

NEW: Your phone (early version)

You can now buy a personal phone in the Development Office — a movable, resizable little window with its own apps:

- 😏 OnlyFaps — a relaxing infinite feed to unwind between nights

- 📅 Calendar — rent, staff salaries and upcoming deadlines at a glance

- 📊 Stats — reputation, money, team overview

- ⚙️ Settings — language, sound, video length… and set a custom wallpaper from your unlocked photoshoots

⚠️ This is the first version of the phone — it's cheap on purpose and still light on gameplay for now. It's the foundation for much bigger things to come (Messages with the girls, and more). Consider it a sneak peek. 😉

The whole Development Office got a clean, modern redesign: everything is now grouped logically (Expand / Special Rooms / Extras), with clear cards, costs and effects. Much easier to read and navigate.

More big additions

- Cinema Mode — hide the side panels and watch your rooms full-width, plus a "wall" mode that strips everything for a pure, edge-to-edge video grid. Perfect for late game when Reception runs everything and you just want to enjoy the show.

- Save protection & sharing — your saves are now backed up automatically to your user folder (Windows: `%APPDATA%\HouseOfDesires\saves\`). A browser/cache wipe will no longer destroy your progress, and you can share your save files with other players.

- UI scaling — an interface size slider (Options → Audio & Display), great for ultrawide and 4K screens.

Quality of Life

A big batch of comfort improvements, including:

- One-click "Boost all" (handled by your Barmaid)

- Drag & drop to reorder your special rooms

- "Max" button on level-up to dump all points into one stat

- Tier markers on the Mood & Reputation bars so you can see thresholds at a glance

- Contract assignment shows each girl's success % + key stats

- Hide or reject girls from the agency pool

- Clearer night satisfaction tiers (cyan / gold / green)

…and many more small touches throughout the game.

30+ Bug fixes & balance

A massive cleanup and balance pass, including:

- The "no rest" penalty now scales the longer a girl goes without rest (−5 / −8 / −12), so neglecting the Boudoir actually matters again

- Fixed girls' stats inflating on every save/reload (KLEPTOMANIAC / VETERAN / PERFECTIONIST)

- Threesome/Lesbian 2nd girl now gets full XP, pay, mood & tips

- Gloryhole now correctly awards XP

- Unified "mood" wording across the whole game

…plus many more save, exploit and UI fixes under the hood.

Available on Windows (portable .exe), macOS (.dmg, universal Intel + Apple Silicon) and Linux (.AppImage — new this time, for the few Linux folks out there).

Is Cassidy Banks supposed to be considered caucasian?

I bought the security room (as my first special room) and I can't see it anywhere anymore. Where can I see it ? Why change a display that worked great ? If it's supposed to be under Brothel Extensions, it isn't there.

An other bug : After finishing a night with 1 active girl (who gained a level during the night if it matters) and 2 resting girls, the 2 resting girls were completely gone. I went to talk with Shalina and they were back.

It seems the game is completely broken : just following the previous bug, the girl who gained a level can't level. Also, the "Talk" option is missing from all girls now. Edit : I saved the game and reloaded and it seems to fix it, Including the Security room issue, which was the first issue.

Hi, I can’t open the game on Mac, says the game is damaged , worked perfectly for the old version, is anyone having the same issue?

She is the interactable house mother staff member, you have to talk to her and give her gifts and once at max affinity she joins the roster.

I don't own a Mac myself, so I can't fully test this on my side — but from what I've found, the game isn't actually damaged. macOS just blocks apps that aren't signed with a (paid) Apple certificate. Normally this should fix it: Drag HouseOfDesires.app into your Applications folder. Open the Terminal app (Cmd+Space, type "Terminal", Enter). Paste this line and press Enter: xattr -cr /Applications/HouseOfDesires.app Try launching the game again. It should normally only need to be done once. If it still doesn't work, tell me in the comments.

There some bugs like can't upgrade girls, sound does not stay on, Brothel Extensions does not show up. These bugs happens when I just download the 0.5 and ran on it's own. It's working when I cover the 0.5 on top of 0.42 and replace the file.

Hi everyone, thank you for reporting bugs ! A clean v0.5.1 hotfix is on the way, with the public release planned for next week — it should sort all of this out. Please don't hesitate to report any others you come across — it all helps a lot!

Regarding the Extensions for me i just had to load a save and it appeared again.

Incidents shouldn't count against a perfect night. If you serve every client, RNG should never affect your bonus income stack. When you get to 100+ rep, it is inevitable that you will have 1-2 incidents every night with close to 105 or more clients served. Even with maxed upgrades and careful perk selection, it's impossible.
