Updates (Patreon)

It seems only yesterday I was finishing up Book 2, and now the end of Book 3 is in sight. I'm hoping to finish it before the end of the year. After that, Book 4 will conclude the first phase of this series (which I naively intended to be a single book) and wrap up the story for many (but not all) of the characters whose names are not Saskia. That is the point where I'll edit for publication on Amazon, making sure everything is consistent and flows well, from beginning to end. I may publish in 4 separate volumes, or 2 humongous ones. I haven't decided yet.

Your continued support has helped motivate me to continue to pump out a large chapter every week, on top of my demanding day job. I don't think many people realise how hard it is to write at this pace while holding a separate full-time job, but for me, it equates to a total of about 2.5 full-time jobs worth of work, leaving barely enough time to sleep, let alone the things most people do for fun. You give me some hope that one day I might be able to make writing my primary career, which would mean more, and better, content for everyone.

To that end, I've added a couple of new Patreon tiers that come with (currently) two additional advance chapters, as well as other goodies.

I don't seriously expect anyone to take the Beastmaster tier, but you never know. There might be someone with a squillion dollars out there who has money to waste on a random author like me, or who really, really wants to design a monster for Undermind.

• Design a monster or wild animal that will feature in the story (subject to author approval)

• Free copies of the ebooks when they're published (2 per month you support me at this tier)
