Matty’s lean, wiry body began to swell as muscle tore and reformed - Bigger. Denser. Stronger.His once soft hairless skin toughened beneath a sudden bloom of thick, coarse fur.

He clung to the only rational thread his frenzied mind could conjure. The edible gummy he’d taken earlier. A bad reaction. A panic attack. That had to be it.

He felt compelled to stay grounded on all fours as his thoughts drifted to warm thoughts of his friends.Then those thoughts desaturated and shifted.

He imagined tearing into them as they ran - slow, terrified, helpless.

The realization horrified him. He tried to pull back, ashamed of the image forming so vividly in his mind. But the feeling didn’t recede. It sharpened.

In that moment, other sickening thoughts bruted into his mind.

He began to feel a tender part of his anatomy swell and stiffen as thick tears dripped and stained the carpet beneath him.
