this video is going out in a few hours on YT, but the tl;dr is... i'm going full-time!!! i've decided to do Mic The Snare as my legit full-time gig.

i've said it before, but especially now with this news, i cannot thank you enough for being here and supporting me. it truly means the world :)))))

(also normally i'll share videos earlier in advance, but since this is a shorter vid and essentially a plug for something you're already a part of, i figured it would be ok.)

the real question is.. what WAS his job before this

Bruh, I may have just had a menty b over not knowing what I'm doing with my life, but I do know this: I am so goddamn proud of you!! You're one of the most genuine people I've seen on YouTube and that deserves to be rewarded. Have fun living the creative dream, I'm sure it will pay back beautifully 😊

Matt

Congrats on going full time! You've worked so hard for this and put out so many amazing videos! Can't wait for the LMFAO DDD!

hi mic! i feel like in light of this great milestone, I would like to like to express my gratitude to you. it's common for most artists to feel disillusioned with whether their attempts to enact real positive change on the world even make a difference. I want to let you know that you have positively impacted my life with your videos, namely through your consistent humanity driven resistance against toxic music discourse in a great number of your videos. your passionate encouragement to hold less space and energy for things you don't like, to have fewer strong negative opinions all the time, has genuinely improved my quality of life. not that I used to be in the twitter trenches having arguments with people about this stuff, but I still feel a difference in just simply caring less about stuff I can otherwise ignore if I don't like it has been huge. it means I have more space for the stuff I love a great deal and can use that energy to share with others in a passionate and inviting way. it's nice to also help uphold other people's own tastes even if I'm not a fan of what they listen to, guilty pleasures are not a valid thing! a class concept spread the word! anyways, thank you for using your influence in a uniquely positive way in your work, and it is your WORK, not ⬜ content ⬜. if it was content, I wouldn't have rewatched each of your videos at least 5 times each. the video structures, humour and ideas within each of them are so much greater and considered than ⬜ content ⬜ ever could be. congrats on going full time, you've deserved this for a long time now.

Congrats on becoming a full-time snare!! I’ve been watching for a couple years now, and I’m always impressed by how much care you put into everything you make. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

potentially the fastest patreon signup i've ever done. I remember wondering back in like 2022 how someone with a channel like this with such consistent high-quality content hadn't made a gazillion trillion dollars off of it. anyway, hope this money goes to a good cause like an hour-long full drum kit mic-ing & mixing april fools video

Congratulations on going full-time! It feels weird to say “you earned it” but honestly, it’s true; you’ve put in SO much work and it shows. I’ve never been anything less than impressed by your work and excited when anything new happens. Heck, of all the YouTubers doing Patreon, you’re the only one I subscribed to (I’ve only used this for bands/musicians until now) and I did it the moment I saw you post about it. Anyone with eyes (even if those eyes are on a drum) can see the passion and care you put into this. I can’t wait to see what the future holds because like you said…it feels like we’ve just scratched the surface. So stoked for whatever comes next.

Amazing news! I watch your videos all the time on Youtube and figured I’d take the next step and subscribe here to support the journey. Congratulations!
