Happy Sunday! If you're getting hit by this massive snowstorm that's traveling across the US, I hope you're staying safe and warm. It's given me a good excuse to stay in and do stuff - like this new Grammys video!

As usual, this is out now on here and Nebula, and it'll be out on YT tomorrow. Enjoy, and let me know who you're rooting for next Sunday!

All I know is Crazy Frog got snubbed for the 20th straight year

funny how you (jokingly) say bieber is the next Beyonce for AOTY when both Kendrick and Gaga are on their 5th AOTY nominations for their solo projects (Kendrick also has 2 more nods, 7 in total, bc he was featured on Lemonade and the Black Panther soundtrack, i think before they changed the aoty nomination criteria) 😂😂

Resident Leon Thomas fan here and I think I can talk about MUTT the album more in depth! Of course, I started knowing about him from the Nickelodeon days, but I actually remember listening to his output back in 2023. And WOW MUTT (the album) is great and easily is best project to date. Just great R&B jams similar to the title track. Highly recommend YES IT IS and FAR FETCHED featuring Ty Dolla Sign as my personal favorites. As much as I adore this album, I unfortunately think he’s primed to go unawarded in the big categories. The categories are just too stacked with bigger and better names that have astronomically higher chances of winning (fr Olivia Dean NEEDS to win BNA lol). He will probably sweep the R&B categories though. He’s a pretty big name with the Academy iirc, so him going home with nothing is not gonna happen I guarantee. Amazing video as always! Hoping this year’s ceremony is as good as last years!

If Alex wins Best New Artist, I hope the Best New Artist curse comes down HARD on him and we never have to talk about him ever again. I do have an actual quibble about another category, and that is PinkPantheress’ Fancy That being nominated in Best Dance/Electronic Album. The Recording Academy has seen a bit of flack with how they’ve handled dance pop in the Dance/Electronic categories in recent years, and while the Best Dance Pop Recording category is a step in the right direction, this just underscores how much there needs a Best Dance Pop Album category to complement that.

I really don’t think COWBOY CARTER winning AOTY would’ve gotten that much backlash had it not happened when it happened. She lost for Lemonade and RENAISSANCE, two albums that seem to be more universally loved than COWBOY CARTER and also came out in slower years. And since she hadn’t won it yet, I think a lot of people viewed the win as the academy going “The Beyhive will get mad if she loses again, we have to do it now” especially when it won in a much more stacked year.

i for one would like to see the marias get recognized at the grammys this year for best new artist. their performance of sienna on kimmel makes me sob every time i watch it, it's unbelievable 😭

Who are we wanting to win for the Country Albums? Also contemporary and traditional are split into two categories 1. Who takes chances with their music/who can sound the most like Morgan Wallen, or 2. Who can sound the most like 80s/90s country. Tyler Childers for contemporary and Zach Top for traditional

I really love the way you visually show the nominees for each of the Big 4 categories. That is genuinely a lovely touch, especially with how most of them have the artist panned to the right side to keep the left-side text viewable. I sincerely think that’s lovely and would adore more cool editing touches like that going forward.

you made a joke about it in the talking heads ddd but I think it would actually be cool if you made a video/series about the history/significance of iconic live music venues.
