Real Life Update and Ideas to Come This Year (Patreon)

In boring real life news, the restaurant I used to work at closed last month due to structural issues with the building. I'm working at our sister restaurant for the time being, and while my work schedule isn't as demanding as my old job, it's not really a good fit. Essentially, I was demoted to the only position they had available for me, and it's a very different kind of restaurant - super loud and not very COVID-safe. I'm studying UX in my free time in the hopes of starting a career in that instead before the end of the year. I'm very ready to be out of the restaurant industry, after having worked in it for over a decade at this point. In comic news, I have a couple ideas for side comics I've been working on. First off, once I'm done with chapter 7 pages, I plan to complete the CYOA comic ASAP.

Next up, I have an idea for a short (10-12 page) sexy flashback comic about Kaz when he first moved to Starlight City, and hooks up with a guy at a concert. It's not super crucial to the plot, but I'll probably run it on my site as filler in a year or two. Obviously, you all will see it here first!

My larger side project that I'll be running here first is for a standalone comic (~50 pages) called Shadowplay. It'll be an erotic thriller that takes place in the 1980s and follows the story of a gay trans man who moves to LA to work behind the scenes in film. It won't be as explicit as Arcade Alex and will have a darker tone, but I hope you enjoy it nevertheless! If you're interested, I can post the script here for you all to read before I get started. I hope to have the script done in the next month or two, and will start sharing sketches and page outlines over the course of the year.

As always, I'm excited to bring new things to you and to share them here first. Your support means so much to me, now more than ever. Thanks for being along for the ride and supporting Arcade Alex!
