Chapter 9 Previews (Patreon)

Almost done putting together my frames and importing pencil roughs for chapter 9 so I can start on digital sketches. Ch. 9 will be short (19 pages) so I'm hoping to knock these out quick. The pencils are rough as hell, but maybe you all will be able to decode them. In this chapter, Kaz gets a call from his mom early on asking him to come home for the holidays, then he goes to an end of the semester get together at a local bar with Alex, but feels self-conscious for not being a student too.Transcription:1st image: (K fiddling with earring) Kaz: I guess it has been a while. I can't promise anything, but...Kaz's Mom: Oh, I know you have a busy life...Kaz: I... okay. 4th image is an old old sketch from 2-3 years ago that I sketched up to get a sense for how this scene will go. I have a bunch of these kinds of sketches just to get an idea down on paper. The panel with him in the spotlight will be a splash image like the 2nd image.
