Haha, people not understanding vegetarian people, the daily struggle! Since I studied at a different university than Zockl, I asked a friend who studies at Hamburg University what a common place is people can't seem to find, hence the weirdly specific directions. :) I'm not sure if the "You've really come into your own here" transports the feeling I wanted when I wrote it in German, but that's the way of translations, I guess. I hope it gets across how Flix is trying to say that he feels Zockl arrived here emotionally and is well adjusted in his life as a student. But is he right?

“You’ve really come into your own” is perfectly translated for this. Zockl has come into his own in his new physical place but it seems that there is time and work still to come for him to come into his own as his person. Proud of him from the last update but his mom not saying anything to Flix is a big hurt.
