How do you tell your friends you like them (in words?).In German we have the "Ich habe dich lieb", which is a cute way of saying you like someone, but I feel it's mostly used with children. There isn't really a phrase you can use to convey the feeling so I personally resorted to telling them that I love them. However I know those might have a heavy implication or a very important meaning for some people or they use them only for their significant other. So Rona saying "I love you" here is her telling Zockl she has a deep, caring feeling of connection for him and cares for him. But is it weird that she said it before either Flix or Zockl said those words to each other?

How do you use this phrase or tell your friends that you like them? I need help (and love to heir about your friendships! ❤️)

ahw, Rona and Zockl's friendship is just too cute 🥺 it was a bit funfact for me, that you say "Ich habe dich lieb", because in german classes we learnt "Ich liebe dich" for the sentence... i guess this is a good example how accurate were our classes, haha aaaand a bit "interesting" hungarian then :D so we say "szeretlek" for "i like/love you" (technically "én szeretlek téged", but we don't say direct the "én = I" and "téged = you" parts because of grammar and stuff:D). it is mainly in romantic or family context (so you can say 'szeretlek' to you partner or parents too). and of course, you can say it to friends too - for example, i'm a bit like Rona, i like to say "i love you" to my nearest friends, although i'm in relationship. and just a little fun fact: we have a more "dramatic" word for love, which is "szerelem", what is tipically love in only romantic way. so if someone say "szerelmes vagyok beléd" is technically the same like "i am in love with you", but i guess it is not frequently use (sorry for the novel, have a nice day everyone! 🫰)

In the US, its very common to tell your friends you love them. We use the word “love” not just for romantic relationships but to express we care about someone deeply, (whoever it may be) So i dont find it weird that she said “I love you”, I didnt even think anything of it haha

They way I've always thought about it is that "I like you" and "I love you" are milestone level achievements in endearment. We use those phrases really often for everything, for friends, for food, for feelings, for pets... We use the words so often, we get desensitized. In middle school, when a lot of people start figuring out that liking someone feels more than a friend for the first time, we would have to explain. "I like you" ..... Blank stare......."No I LIKE like you!" And this was usually that dramatic moment when they would either say they did too, or eww that's gross, or confusion (usually because they had never thought about haven't higher than friend-like or possibly, and very familiar here, this was when to learn that my like like is different than everyone elses.....enter gender confusion and sexual orientation misaligned learning here.... Adults tend to have figured out the context and tone when it's said, otherwise they run off of assumptions and mostly just assume it's light hearted until pushed. That was probably too long, but all that to say that what you depicted felt extremely authentic and although we are avided audience members waiting for these sweethearts to get emotional enough to say it, this feels very real for Tobi. He's figuring it all out. Having a friend say it and being forced to face that ooooh that feels different than what it feels like when I imagine him saying it....oh that...that's how I feel. That's the experience point tipping point where he gets to unlock "I love you" to Felix for his endearment leveling experience
