Hi lovelies!

Last week, the last pages of “Misskilled” went online.And today I want to talk to you about my plans and what to expect from this Patreon in the future!

To be honest: I haven’t finished a single page of the next chapter yet. The simple reason for this is that I didn’t have enough time to work on the weekly pages and prepare a whole new chapter on the side, while also working other jobs. Being able to be one step ahead was a bit of wishful thinking on my part. :(

I larned a lot from working on the last chapter and hope I will be able to plan ahead better for the next one. And more importantly - let you know about it.

(The program I'm using is Scrivener and I love it!)

Right now I am planning out the next three chapters, since they are building onto each other. Once I am done assigning and dividing the important topics and what goes where, I will write the script for the second chapter (which doesn’t have a title yet, but focuses on Flix). And then make the storyboard. And then the sketches. And then the inks. And then…

But what will happen here in the meantime?

I want to keep updating weekly!

But if there won’t be finished pages in the coming weeks, what will I share with you?

• Finish our character creation! I loved working out a new character with all of you! I thought it was a shame that I originally planned such a small role for him, so as of now I am writing him a bigger and maybe recurring part in the story. But first we have to finish him, so there are more posts and polls for you to come. :)

• Process & Progress! I am pretty shy and awkward when it comes to showing unfinished, rough stuff. But that is what I am most interested in when following other artists. And there is lots to share! Snippets from the script, the storyboard, the sketched and inked pages. I just have to get over myself and show it to you.

• Yapping! I am prone to overshare and struggle to walk the fine line between complete silence and writing an intimate novel about how my week went. So I tried to play it really save here and mostly keep to the comic stuff. Even when I wanted to talk about something on here badly, I stopped myself because I didn’t want to annoy anyone. Going forward I want to include some yapping about what is going on in my life in my weekly update posts though. I will put it at the end of the posts so if you’re only interested in the progress you can read that first and then skip the rest. No hard feeling! <3

So that is it from me for today! I will figure out an update schedule that works for me and then be back at the writing desk - researching some current multiplayer games Flix and Zockl would probably be into (recommendation welcome!)

Hi ihr Lieben!

Letzte Woche sind die letzten Seiten von “Verskillt” online gegangen.Und heute wollte ich mit euch für meine Pläne für die kommenden Wochen auf diesem Patreon sprechen!

Um ehrlich zu sein: Ich habe noch keine einzige Seite vom neuen Kapitel fertiggestellt. Die einfache Begründung dafür ist, dass ich nicht genug Zeit dafür hatte, die wöchentlichen Seiten fertigzustellen und ein neues Kapitel vorzubereiten, während ich auch noch an anderen Job arbeite. Das hinzukriegen war ein bisschen Wunschdenken meinerseits. :(

Aber ich habe viel gelernt beim Arbeiten an “Verskillt” und hoffe dieses Wissen im neuen Kapitel anwenden und besser planen zu können. Und vor allen Dingen - euch daran teilhaben zu lassen.

Im Moment arbeite ich an den nächsten drei Kapiteln, da diese aufeinander aufbauen. Sobald ich fertig bin, die wichtigen Szenen aufzuteilen, geht es daran, das Script für das zweite Kapitel zu schreiben (das bisher noch keinen Titel hat, sich aber auf Flix fokussiert). Und dann mache ich das Storyboard, und dann die Skizzen, und dann die Tuschezeichnungen, und dann…

Aber was wird hier in der Zwischenzeit passieren?

Ich will weiter wöchentlich updaten!

Aber wenn es keine fertigen Seiten zu sehen gibt, was werde ich dann mit euch teilen?

• Unsere gemeinsame Character-Creation! Ich hatte so viel Spaß daran, gemeinsam mit euch an einem Charakter zu arbeiten! Und ich fand es schade, dass er ursprünglich nur in einer Szene auftauchen sollte. Darum schreibe ich ihm gerade eine etwa größere Rolle. Da kommen also noch neue Posts und Abstimmungen!

• Prozess & Fortschritt! Ich bin ziemlich schüchtern wenn es darum geht, unfertigen Kram herzuzeigen. Dabei sind die WIPs und Zwischenschritte das, was mich selber am meisten interessiert, wenn ich anderen Künstlys folge! Und es gibt so viel zu zeigen: Ausschnitte aus dem Script, dem Storyboard, den Skizzen, den getuschten Seiten. Ich muss mich nur überwinden und euch ein bisschen auf die Entstehungsreise einer fertigen Seite mitnehmen.

• Quatschen! Ich habe einen Hang zum Oversharen und Probleme damit, den feinen Mittelweg zwischen kompletter Stille und einem Tagebucheintrag zu finden. Bisher habe ich versucht hier nicht zu viel aus dem Nähkästchen zu plaudern, auch wenn es in meinem Leben Dinge gab, über die ich unbedingt sprechen wollte - ich wollte niemanden nerven. Von jetzt an würde ich gern ein paar dieser “Dinge die bei mir abgehen” Sachen in die wöchentlichen Updates einbauen, aber ganz am Ende des Posts; so könnt ihr, wenn ihr nur über den Fortschritt lesen wollt, einfach den Rest überspringen. Alles gut! <3

Das ist’s von mir für heute! Ich werde mir einen Upload-Plan überlegen, der für mich funktioniert und dann geht es zurück ans Schreiben und Recherchieren, welche Multiplayer Games Zockl und Flix wohl grade voll feiern würden (Empfehlungen erwünscht!)
