Flashback time! I never showed how Flix came out to his parents, it was just really clear to me, that he wouldn't even consider keeping his relationship a secret. I think while his broader family surely has issues, him and his parents have a very tight bond and trust each other. Probably one of the reasons why he didn't feel the need to move out of their home yet (and because apprentices' salaries rarely cover the cost of living in Germany, hhhh....). I based their family dynamic loosely on how I perceived the family of a girlfriend I had. Whenever we stayed with them the vibe felt so... mature, structured, caring. They had fixed days in the week where different family members were responsible for cooking for everyone, even if their schedules didn't allow everyone to eat together at the same table. The (grown up) children were treated with a lot of respect by their parents, they were interested in each other's lives and everyone naturally did their part. Copying this dynamic and giving it to Flix explains how he is so relatively secure, knowing there are people he can turn to who will always have his back.The Zocker timeline doesn't make perfect sense but he should be done with with his training in about a year?
