Thoughts on piercings, anyone? (New pages next week!) (Patreon)

I finished the storyboard, I am sketching and I think I will be able to upload new finished pages next week already! So I decided to skip the "maybe I will show you sketches" stage and go into finished pages right away. :)

One of the big topics in the new chapter will be looks and clothes. What we feel good in, how we want to be perceived by others, how we express ourselves. On the one hand I wanted to change up specifically Zockls wardrobe a bit for a while. And since comic is a visual media I also want to show state of mind and character developement through clothing.

This led me to also think about piercings (and tattoos). Do you think any of them would suit either Zockl or Flix? I think both of them could rock a number of piercings but they are both scaredy cats when it comes to getting them done and the healing process. xDI feel like I asked you about this before, did I?Do you have any piercings? Ich habe das Storyboard für das neue Kapitel beendet, ich bin fleißig am skizzieren und denke, dass ich nächste Woche schon fertige neue Seiten für euch haben werde! Also habe ich beschlossen den "Vielleicht zeige ich euch Skizzen"-Schritt zu überspringen und direkt neue Seiten hochzuladen. :)

Aussehen und Kleidung wird ein großes Thema im neuen Kapitel sein. Worin wir uns gut fühlen, wie wir wahrgenommen werden wollen, wie wir uns ausdrücken möchten.Zum einen wollte ich (besonders) Zockls Kleiderschrank schon seit einer Weile mal überarbeiten. Und zum anderen sind Comics ein visuelles Medium und ich möchte anhand seiner Kleidung auch seinen mentalen Zustand und seine Charakterentwicklung zeigen können.

Das ganze hat mich dazu gebracht, auch über Piercings (und Tattoos) nachzudenken). Glaubt ihr, Zockl oder Flix würden Piercings stehen? Ich denke schon, aber beide sind solche Angsthasen wenn es darum geht, sich wirklich welche Stechen zu lassen oder den Heilungsprozess zu überstehen. xDIch hab das Gefühl, ich habe euch das schon mal gefragt, oder?

Habt ihr irgendwelche Piercings?

Personally not a fan of eyebrow piercings but I think 100% of the piercings you show on Zockl fit him very well! I like the piercings on Flix even the eyebrow piercing! I myself have my septum pierced, and three lobe piercings on each ear! I think it would be fun if we did a ranked voting for the guys’ piercings/tattoos like we did with creating Theo!

For Zockl, the snake bites and the onslaught of ear piercings suit him well but a part of me feels like he'd be annoyed by them more than anything. For Flix, both the eyebrow and ear piercings suit him well, I'm more so drawn to the eyebrow piercing through. I have my ears pierced that became only one ear after I developed a keloid that I finally managed to pretty much rid myself of so I'm planning to ask my dermatologist to re pierce since I miss my matching pair of earrings. I wear a fake nose piercing bc I'm honestly a bit nervous to get a real one after the situation with my ear but eventually I may just say yolo and get the real thing.

Personally I'm not a fan of piercings, but I could see both of them wear them. Maybe they start small/simple and get more through the story (or their relationship phases)? Same with tattoos. I could see them get their first ones as a dare or relationship milestone, and then liking it a lot.

I love the idea of piercings and tattoos!! 🤩 I love my tattoos, and I have plans for several more. I would have a lot more facial piercings if not for my job. 🫤 I think a lot of us are afraid of the pain and healing before we try it. But once we realize it’s not as bad as the fear, we can become obsessed! 😄 Body art is important, and I think it can play a huge role in being ourselves. Having an outward expression of who we feel we are can be really empowering. I love these sketches and can’t wait to see what you have in store for these two amazing young men!! ❤️‍🔥

I have 2 tattoos (and want more) and 1 set of piercings on the lobe. I think Flix would be the type to get 1 and then another and another and another. (tho imo tattoos suit him more) And for Zockl I think he might try a septum, because he could wear the horseshoe style and flip it up into the nose to hide it (I think with how conservative his family has been so far, they also wouldn't like piercings) and ngl I think he'd like nipple piercings.

I feel like it would make more sense if zockl got the piercings,they look great on his ears and lips but I don't know how I feel about the septum.

I agree on the obsessed bit for sure! It's very rare to find someone that only has 1 tattoo, with no plans on getting another. Flix would fall into that vibe hard

Z feels eyebrow, ears, & maybe 1 in the lip. F feels simple like maybe just the ears.

I don't think Flix would have a lot of them, Zockl perhaps but not that many

I feel like Zockl would probably have a bunch of ear piercings, and I feel like Flix would have maybe a regular stud (it would be really cute if it was Zockl’s birth stone or something), but I think that’s it, piercing wise, for them. I’m not so sure about tattoos for them. I feel like the piercings would be enough for Zockl, though he might be curious (ignoring ALL characterization and how annoying it would be to draw, I would love for Zockl to have a sleeve tattoo. But I really don’t think it works in his character). Maybe Flix would get a small one somewhere, but I think that’s if they’re both babies about piercings I doubt they’ll get tattoos. Personally I LOVE and have many tattoos, and would get piercings beyond the regular lobe one I got as a kid, but I don’t have the vibe to pull off a bunch of piercings. I look like a puppy 😭 besides the point, while I have been told I have an inhuman pain tolerance (thanks chronic illnesses), I’ve also heard repeatedly that men are absolute babies about tattoos. Straight from the tattoo artist’s mouth. So that’s an unfortunate no to tattoos for them I think. Though I really would die for Flix having a small rubber ducky or something, and Zockl having a badass sleeve, I don’t think it would happen

I have many piercings haha, And I feel like for F he would rock the ear piercings maybe a tragus or helix but i feel cos of his job he wouldn't be able to get facial piercings. For Z tho I feel he could have them all.

I have 15 piercings and 8 tattoos, so I'm all in for this. :) I can see Zockl having more piercings as a bit of rebellion, so the lip piercings are a definite, as well as the nose and eyebrows in addition to ears. A small septum to start, maybe, and then go all in? If Flix needs to hide his more, the ears would probably be his best bet, or hidden ones like nipples, navel, etc. Not sure those would fit, but I could see him becoming addicted to ink and/or piercings, for sure.

I could totally see felix rocking the spetum+eyebrow combo, and I think a paired labret piercing would look good on zockl along with some others maybe I could see him having multiple cartridge piercings

I have 3 piercings on each ear and 2 tattoos. I waited until I was 18yo to get my first pair of piercings (because I was a big chicken) and 21yo to get my second. I love the look of stacked dainty earrings but I’ve worked at a job that has very restrictive appearance guidelines. My parents were another reason I waited until I was 37yo to get my first tattoo. They were very opinionated about tattoos and what they said about you. Sometimes I feel like I missed out on the opportunity to test out my “personality” via my appearance because of my job and what people *might* think about me. I can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes our boys. 💛

I have a bunch of piercings! my favourite is my vertical labret, I like that unlike the others I'm always able to be aware of this one in a way? I think zockl would absolutely rock a snake bites - eyebrow piercing - navel - full ears with an industrial combo. Emo boy needs to up his emo game. I agree with another comment that suggested hidden piercings for felix, as well as a few ears ones. I feel like he'd def have a tongue piercing or a nipple piercing, done as a spur of the moment / need to prove himself thing.

I think it’s the mouth and eyebrow piercings that’s throwing me off😓 but everything else is amazing, and no matter what kind of piercings you choose they’d always look great and I’d still love them☺️☺️
