Mateys part of it might be the kid (forgot his name) thought Felix did something to her to make her drop the stuff. Doesn’t make what he said okay, and his mom really needs to correct that shit when she hears it. Maybe I’m just being sympathetic cause my family struggles with my identity, but a family member coming out can be really hard for people who love their kid but have always hated lgbt stuff. And you can tell his family loves each other from how they were acting before. Hopefully they can sort this out, give each other some space, and reconnect when Tobi’s family is ready to support him and learns that being gay is not a bad thing

A LOT of people are trying to rationalize how a nice person can be this way but like...bigots can be nice guys. They're full people with complex emotions and thoughts even if they are moral failures. Sometimes very nice mom is actually a homophobe. Or sweet child is kindling deep hatred of people different from him.
